I seriously gave consideration to just posting :1banana: and calling it a GDT but that's a bit too lazy on my part so here are the spinny logos (although Tampa's is an old logo) and lines at least.

Is there ANYONE who thinks the Habs will win Game 4? Anyone out there? Hellooooo-oooooo?

:tumbleweed:

I think they can win, not so certain about the will win part though. Price hasn't stolen a game yet this round and one of these days I have to think the forwards will pop a few goals; this drought can't last forever. That gives me the thought that they could win tonight at least.

My feeling is that one of our slumping guys, such as Galchenyuk, will 'break out' AFTER the game is out of reach. That's how these things go.

How do you feel about Price's play? I really couldn't fault him in Games One or Three. Unfortunately, though, he has not been superhuman enough to get in the Lightnings' heads in the way Bishop has gotten into the Habs' noggins.

The Habs put him in a situation where he had to pitch a shutout to win Games 1 and 3. It's hard to pin too much of this situation on him as a result. He hasn't had that superhuman save yet as you said to get in their heads (and give Montreal a mental boost) but his play hasn't been all that poor aside from Game 2 where no one really played well.

Unless they allow Carey to cross the center red line and score goals, this debacle has little to do with him. You can't win 0-0. The only thing he can do is keep you in the game untill his guys get their heads out of their a$$es and score some goals. He has done his job.

hw made 2/3 big saves at the start of the 3rd last night to keep the game within 1 ...

He's in. Apparently when I went to edit the post, the lines somehow reverted back to my original copy/paste (which was from the game late in the regular season where I used the spinny logos, one that he missed). I've fixed it back to what the lines were from last game.

Its not looking good, but lets just focus on tonight and we can talk about the rest tomorrow.

Montreal is still a really good hockey team. Obviously they do have flaws as well. I know we've been over this millions of time but I'll bring up these points again because this just hasn't changed.
1. Despite the many good qualities he does have (and I do believe he has many) I think any team would have a really hard time winning a cup with David Desharnais being played in the role of top two center.

2. Directly related to point 1, we all expected more out of Alex Galchenyuk and to be honest I really don't think it matters if he is playing at center or on the wing, he simply is not contributing offensively as much as we were counting on.

3. This is not an excuse, but with the parity in the league these days I think every team that goes on to win a cup gets a few good bounces along the way and the Habs just can't seem to get a break. A little luck goes a long way to helping momentum and especially confidence and mindset, which in turn only seem to get more bounces.

As for Bergevin, I like that he hasn't mortgaged the furture for the now. He is being patient and taking advantage of good opportunities as they present themselves. This imho is the opposite of the Pittsburgh Penguins who have forced move after move, seemingly going all in every year and each time it doesn't pan out they put themselves in a worse situation. In 3 or 4 more years when Crosby and Malkin start to slow down they'll be right back to where they were before they drafted those two, at the bottom of the league. With Bergy's plan, it gives us the opportunity for more longevity as a contender and a bigger window.

Well, it is really one game at a time now isn't it?

If our heart is used up we get blown out, but win one and ya never know, I have faith we can win one, but not betting on it.

It has certainly been an odd series to say the least. We should definitely expect the players to give it their all tonight because their season is on the line but so far giving their best hasn't translated into any type of positive results in this matchup and so it must be difficult for anyone to have positive thoughts heading into this game.

On the other hand, I don't think many could argue that we haven't deserved at least one game so far this series and so that can give even the most rational observer some sense of "false" hope when you look at it one game at a time. In the end, results are all that matter and we find ourselves in this ominous position.

I for one do believe we can win this game but I no longer have expectations either way. I like Brian's point that at the very least, this game will be very telling when it comes to the character of our players.

Here we go...

let's give the Bolts the kind of scare the Sens did to us ... only unlike the Sens, we finish the comeback!!!

I STILL BELIEVE!!!

If we come back and win in 7 we win the cup. It is that simple in my eyes. If the team can figure this out there is no stopping them.

Go Habs Go. I am not ready to shave yet!
