dlbalr
Wow, actual news to talk about. Scherbak signed his entry level deal today. If he doesn't play in more than 9 games this year, the contract won't kick in until 2015-16 at the very least.
DON
I guess is good to see him sign? Habs arnt near 50 contract limit eh? And going back to junior, would he even count against that?

The Habs have a fair amount of space under the 50-contract limit (see post 2 of the CBA thread) and unless Scherbak plays his 10 games, he won't count against it this season. Meller93
It was only a matter of time. I feel like almost all first rounders are signed the same summer they are picked.
dlbalr
It was only a matter of time. I feel like almost all first rounders are signed the same summer they are picked. Most are signed right away. Basically, the only ones that don't are the NCAA-bound prospects as they can't sign or they'll lose their eligibility. Also, Scherbak's contract info is now in the contract page on the main site.
Jeff Price (no relation)
Is it just me, or does this kid's face makes it look like he's 12?
