  1. Great start but sad finish for the Toronto Habs Viewroom experience. Next game ! ( + respect Trent McCleary, just be cause
  2. Agree with the OP if we lose the season and a better environment emerges, that would be good. My idea: Ten teams in a Canadian Division, ten teams in an American Division, after divisional eliminations the two winners play for the Stanley Cup. This would lower costs and ticket prices, increase quality of play, and marshal fan interest right up to the cross-border final. The fans would win. But the millionaire owners don't want franchises to fold, and the millionaire players don't want to see 1/3 of NHLPA members lose their jobs. Too bad neither side's interests correspond with what's good for hockey!
  3. Tim Thomas adds homophobia to his CV Chick-fil-A (fried chicken restaurant) president Dan Cathy on same-sex marriage: "I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, "We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage," and I pray God's mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to try to redefine what marriage is about." Thomas on Facebook: "I stand with Chick-fil-A."
  4. Yes! And especially if Pouliot is instrumental in the loss. I think the broons signed BP in part as a "screw you Habs" gesture, so this is sweet!
  5. Loving that Benoit Pouliot took the late penalty, for the Caps' power play goal that put them up 4-3 in game five. Yeah, loving that.
  6. Hi Joe! I'm out of Tokyo, living in Toronto and hating it. Not sure what comes next. My last year has sort of paralleled the Habs'...
  7. 1. Believe Desharnais will get even better. "The puck follows him." 2. No place for Saku on the squad IMO. The idea of limited time on the 4th line is charming but I would prefer a high-energy 4th line stocked with youngish S.O.B.s
  8. I shudder when I try to imagine that. Was my first Dogs game.
  9. We were first on the boards, ahl hockey is fun! Thought "DeSimone" had one of the better hockey names and was impressed to see we have a player named "Fast." Dogs thin now for sure will be more fun to watch next year.
  10. yes quite a weird coincidence, have there been suggestions it was something other than an accident? also seems it is 4 minutes if a high stick draws blood but only 2 if it crushes a windpipe . . .
  11. Gomez stuffs a million or two into an old duffel bag and gives it to Plex. easy.
  12. Saw him play, like him, we won thai trade it appears. Surprised Minny trades their #4 overall pick who had played so few games but was doing better this year before his injury -- they might have bought the Latendresse hype or something?
  13. funny, i just saw it and hated it -- Tarantino has officially exhausted his creativity IMO and now simply reproduces Hitchcock, Lynch, Peckinpah et al. Disjointed, jarring and unbelievable -- some good acting and cinematography are not enough to make this flick work. did really enjoy District 9 tho, well, until the third act . . .
  14. who can execute the "perfect play"? Gomez? he's perfect between the blue lines, but . . . Lapierre? perfect pest Cammalleri? maybe, but... Metropolit -- dark horse, gets my vote for next goal Go Habs Go!
