We could see a change to the PP as Eller may be taking Galchenyuk's spot on the second unit. The two are rotating in practice (with Desharnais and Parenteau).

Eller can take a hit and go to the net, it might help. Sure can't hurt.

Hey Don, screw SS. Max Pac and our whole offence for that matter are due to break out and Bishop's numbers vs Montreal are due for a correction as are the tbay team stats vs Montreal due for an adjustment. They are way out of sync with reality and the cosmos balances these things. Tampa wins the seasons series, but we win the playoff round. That balances things out.

Habs in 4

Petry-Subban were paired on PP in practice

Eesh! Looking at the season series numbers, I doesn't look good for our boys...but y'all know what they say about the playoffs. It's a new season. Let's start by winning game one, and move from there!

Interesting to see PK Subban at -4 for the season series. I wonder what's up with that?

If they don't show up for the first game, say..oh I don't know.. forgetfulness. Do we win by default? Maybe we could call them and distract them. .... always thinking....

we absolutely need for that to happen.

This where a Beaulieu could have stepped up. Not that his play was great before he went down, but give him some bigger minutes and you never know

I'm with Johnny HB:

Regular season, smeqular season!

Montreal in a sweep for the second straight year.

Great video except that most of the highlights were of Bourque, what a beast he was last playoffs. It's a shame he couldn't play to even half of that level during the season

Ha ha, yeah, he's stinking out the joint, so give him more minutes :bonk: Typical of the attitudes toward young players on this board.

That said, I agree that Beaulieu had the potential to be a wild card asset over the course of a playoff run. It may yet happen. But frankly, if one of our D had to be injured, it's not a bad thing that it was him.

He will still have potential. He's only out for four games.

Beaulieu in or out is not real important; but top six Habs putting enough pucks behind Bishop and shutting down Tampa forwards are biggest hurdles.

Ya, because moving Emelin up to play with Subban is a much safer option. Which is basically what will happen if Markov can't get his shit together.

Can't disagree that he looked bad before he went down though. Its just more about speed

Do you have a problem with how Emelin has played in the playoffs? I don't.

I like Beaulieu a lot, but let's face it, he was running around like a decapitated chicken...had that continued, no WAY would he get more minutes.

Frankly, I'd look to Petry to pick up Markov's minutes if #79 continues to flag. But hopefully this won't be necessary. Markov knows he sucked last round...he'll want to do better.
