  1. Tuch supposedly had a solid game in Laval to start.
  2. Great to see Reinbacher get a dozen games in Laval under his belt, on smaller ice and intro to NA pro game. Laval Rocket eliminated from playoff contention with loss (habseyesontheprize.com) Luke Tuch stood out for me quite a bit among the forward group. He plays somewhat of a thankless game that probably won’t show up on the scoresheet a lot, but he back checks like his life depends on it, and is very capable in the dirty areas. If he keeps bringing that level of effort at both ends of the ice, he’ll eventually find himself getting a chance in the NHL. David Reinbacher is just so quietly effective. Outside of his assist, what really stood out for me was his puck distribution in his own zone. He seems to have an innate sense for where his teammates will be, and his first pass on the breakout is almost always right. He’s on the right track, and it will be interesting to see how he develops next season.
  3. Mesar as a pro, how will he look in Laval next season. Mesar’s Graduation: Thursday night in Kitchener – Hab At Her About the team. https://www.habseyesontheprize.com/adam-engstrom-interview-rogle-bk-shl-final-playoffs-montreal-canadiens-defence-prospect-sweden/ "Playoffs here will start at a quarter-past-nine in the morning for Montreal fans. What should they look for in your game, and maybe in the stands as well?" "I don’t think you should look so much at me now. I think it’s more important for the team now. First, it’s the second final for the club. It’s huge. We have an opportunity here to take the first gold for the club. It’s going to be awesome."
  4. Beck 0pts 4 shots 14/26, heading into OT. 3-2 win for Saginaw, up 3-2 in sries
  5. I wonder how Wright would be doing in habland, if had of chosen him?
  6. Looks like off to OT, so Laval is toast!
  7. mid 3rd it was 2-2 1st 9:11 Mitchell Stephens (13) Riley Kidney (13), Jayden Struble (6) 2nd 3:24 Lias Andersson (21) Tobie Bisson (18), David Reinbacher (3)
  8. ... Habs win lottery and take Celebrini. Aside from that any of a handful would be fine by me. Eiserman seems too Hoffman-like, from what i have heard, is about the only one i not keen on seeing in a a Habs #24 jersey. Only another 2 1/2 months to go...
  9. You are reaching way back for Locke example. Is zero reason Not relevant to drafting a WHL sniper in 2024 is it. Given are 1,000 other top prospects who flopped, we all know is always bit of a crap shoot with high-school kids. And i would prefer to see them go bit more risky for offense upside, than a solid 2 way sure fire NHLer. Like a more offensive Demidov or Catton. (like: i preferred Jagger Firkus (63gms 61goals 126pts this year) vs a Owen Beck)
  10. Bruins/Dallas/Florida/Rangers/Vancouver dressed 10 different d-men this year Aves/Oilers/Carolina dressed 9 different d-men. So NHL-ready depth always needed. e.g. Savard goes down in Oct and Reinbacher or Mailloux recalled earlier than wanted. And also seems a given, that at least 1 d-man will be traded before the fall.
  11. Impressive #s and offense is what Habs lack... just saying.
  12. After starting this season in the AHL, we all know he aint going back to the OHL again.
  13. Talk isnt worth much with aging athletes and maybe a stint in the AHL will be needed, before an Armia-transformation happens?
  14. Habs Prospects KalPa Kuopio at Kärpät Oulu 11:30 am - Liiga Bronze Medal Game (single-elimination game) Oliver Kapanen - Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds at Saginaw Spirit 7:05 pm - OHL Quarter Final (best-of-7) (Series tied 2-2) Owen Beck - https://www.habseyesontheprize.com/adam-engstrom-montreal-canadiens-prospect-development-rogle-assistant-coach-max-bohlin-interview-comments-shl-playoffs-final/ "...You mentioned the defensive adjustment. Brendan Davidson came back and has formed a very solid pair with with Adam Engström defensively, which is maybe not what we expected as Montreal Canadiens fans." "No, I really like that pair and Brandon has served as a good mentor for Adam as well. Brandon with his NHL experience, obviously learning a lot over there, so they have been [good]. On the contrary, Adam is teaching Brandon, maybe how to play with the puck more. I think they fit well as a pair."
