dlbalr
It's spoiler time for the now-eliminated Bulldogs (32-34-1-6) as they look to put a dent in Rochester's (34-27-6-4) playoff hopes. The Amerks sit 7th in the West but just a single point ahead of 9th place. (based on +/- data from previous games) Deslauriers - Adam - Varone Larsson - Zigomanis - Grigorenko Catenacci - Porter - Armia Schaller - Gillies - Irwin Petrecki - Pysyk Crawford - Gauthier-Leduc Tuzzolino - MacKenzie Makarov Andrighetto - Dumont - Holland Sorkin - Macenauer - Leblanc Tarnasky - St. Pierre - Thomas Crisp - Nattinen - Nevins Beaulieu - Pateryn Chouinard - Drewiske Schiestel - Ellis Mayer Puck drop is at 7:00 PM, AM900 will have the play-by-play; click the banner below to listen. dlbalr
With Brady Vail now out for the year with an ankle injury, I imagine Nattinen will draw back in.
DON
Crisp from Andrighetto (I think) and dogs up 1-0 Not for long now 1-

DON
Well 2-1 start of 2nd on weird bounce for Mayer. Down 3-1 now.
DON
Nattinen scores (1st goal in 27 games) and 3-2 And Jack Nevins get 1a in his pro debut. Dumont & Courtnall 2 on1 and Dumont gets his 19th. 3-3 Well, off to OT again and a good comeback anyways. Surprise surprise..off to a Shootout. Mayer gives up 3 goals on 3 shots and toast. http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1012184
dlbalr
What a day for Tokarski - he gets his extension and then gets to sit so that Mayer can play. You'd think that if you want to play spoiler against a rival, you wouldn't put the 3rd stringer in.
DON
How would Budaj view Tokarski 2nd year being one-way deal? Must also give him some security over Mayer and Dubnyk.
miklin
great comeback but after some great saves during regulation, Mayer gives up three straight shoot out goals to Rochester which was puzzling. Interesting that the Capt was scratched again. Maybe the last time we've seen Robert Mayer?

miklin
I thought Nevins and Crisp were fairly impressive-good size. Felt sorry for some Brady Vail Jr A fans who were there and disappointed to find he is injured and finished for the season. Good crowd sort of reinforces my theory about minor league hockey, where with the exception of a few areas, making the playoffs with the travel expenses and inability to get groups attending on short notice, is more of a hit on the balance sheet than a positive financially
