  1. Have a look at the 3rd goal from Slaf yesterday and tell me RHP doesn't deserve an assist. This goal was all because of him. Point is, RHP does enough to be in the conversation for 4th line/13th.
  2. We won the division and finished 2nd in the East, 4th overall in the league that year. Beat the Bruins in round 1 and got eliminated by Philly (and R.J. Umberger) in 5 games in round 2.
  3. Of course the Devils would not be able to take advantage of the NYR losing Miller and Trouba after 2 seconds of play. What a shitty season for them.
  4. Annual game with my 6yo. I want a win... but I don't want the points in the standings
  5. It's a little dissapointing that the two lottery advancement slots are not limited to your own pick.
  6. I don't mind one bit if medias and fans expect/hope Hudson turns into a Q. Hughes. If we're able to get a Torey Krug level of player with Hudson, that would be a fantastic 2nd round pick.
  7. The "supposed" BPA is maybe not the same one as Hughes and his crew have on their list.
  8. Read something about Slaf this weekend. He'd have worked closely with Glen Tucker, aka Dr. Shot. Tucker is known from working with such names as Pastrnak, Bergeron, Eichel, etc. Article said that Pasta didn' have that good of a shot/release when he started in the NHL. Just like Slaf it seems.
  9. Legit concerns earlier this season as they were supposed to go with Vanecek (somewhat proven, Jake Allen caliber) and Akira Schmid who had taken over the #1 role during last year's playoffs (à la Adin Hill). Both have been very dissapointing this season though with under .900 sv%. Nico Daws as well. Maybe I'm alone on this, but for me, the Devils are clear cut #1 bust this season around the league. Of course they lost Hamilton after only 20 games and Jack Hughes as well as Hischier both missed time too, but 24th overall ?!?! I had them contending for the Metro before season started.
  10. 2 post for Suzuki and 1 for Caufield though. Could have been much different for the first line.
  11. I seem to remember that you had Mysak as a fringe 1st rounder at the time and that you were excited about this pick. Sucks that it didn't pan out.
