Beaulieu gets one! (from Bournival/Sven), dogs up 1-0 after 1

Joey Macdonald played solid 1st (they say)

0-3 on the PP so far, still hoping it improves sometime in near future.

Sven scores early in 2nd, wide open net and ripped it in.

Hudon back on scoreboard with a 2nd assist.

Pateryn in high slot scoring chance but Leivo takes penalty to break it up.

4th PP, will they take advantage?

only chance was SH by TO

Orr (not Bobby) hits/roughs up Dietz and Finley steps up.

so Dogs powerhouse PP gets nother friggin crack!

Tangradi (from Bowman) bounces in ugly one and PP goal and 3-0, end of 2nd (can see this one getting rowdy in 3rd period)

PP#7 for Dogs.

Carrick gets SH scoring chance and Pateryn takes 'good' penalty and 4 on4 play

(colour guy says Beaulieu has played well and been a boost to lineup, which is good to hear)

Does 'near future' mean in the next week or two...or month or two? :)

Nice win nonetheless, though I'm disappointed that it's Bennett who came out of the lineup. Hopefully he's back in tomorrow. :1banana:

I saw the Bulldogs at Ricoh playing against the Marlies Friday night and I have to admit I was surprised. Going in I thought they would be struggling because of so many first year players and I expected the Marlies to be the better team. Just the opposite.

They play like the Canadiens. Fast, good puck possession, skilled, very good skaters and from my view they are playing a good system, organized and seem to be playing as a team. The reason I make that point is that I had heard some reports that the coaching was not great and they really didn't have much of a system. From a one game observance, the opposite is true. The Marlies absolutely had trouble keeping up with them.

I was very impressed with Sven Andrighetto. He was dominant, stood out, very good skater and skilled with the puck. Jacob De Larose played well and Joey McDonald shut down the Marlies with key saves on good scoring opportunities.

Overall I was impressed with the Bulldogs. I think we have some very good talent on the farm with a common system in place with the big team.
