Habs sucked in scoring last year, can they improve on 21st rank from last year?

Will Paranteau or Bourque add anything at all this year?

Paranteau dosent hit/block shots, so hope he can at least produce some offense, but Aves fans didn't seem disappointed to see him go.

As always for Leaf/Hab games, will be flip a coin who wins, no matter strength of teams.

I think with Orr and Maclearen out we'll see Montreal stick to their strengths. I don't want to jinx, but I going to say Habs blow them out

Clarkson was a damned good player until the wheels fell off last season. I hardly think it's far-fetched to expect him to return to being an effective power forward (although there isn't a soul alive who thinks he'll ever sniff 30 goals again).

Leafs aren't actually that bad on paper. They seem to be a great example of a squad that needs a coaching change in order to max out its potential.

Leafs are a high scoring, low defence team with very good goaltending.

Habs are a low scoring, high defence team with great goaltending.

Montreal has potential to score 30 more goals a year. Toronto doesn't really have potential to play better defence.

It's kinda funny comparing the D additions of Toronto to say New York. Toronto removed Gunnarsson, Gleason and Ranger and added Polak, Robidas and Percy. Islanders removed nobody and simply added Leddy and Boychuk to their current defensive corps, pushing younger D down the chart. Islanders will be a better blueline. Toronto? Likely a wash.

Their forwards are ok, but that defense is brutal.
