dlbalr
That's good news with Bournival getting to play a bit. Hopefully they do this a few times if he's not going to be in the lineup much.
dlbalr
Jared Gomes has been released as well from his PTO. It sounds like Crisp and Nevins are close to being ready to return.

DON
2 games for Bournival, hope he plays exact same as he did last year when with Dogs.
dlbalr
Nevins has officially been given the green light. He'll likely go from the injured list to the press box to start.
DON
And 2 recruits added to Dogs for 3 in 3 weekend. (don't bitch, whine or pout Beaulieu, play hard and show that you are too good for AHL) And again I ask why did they bother recalling Bournival on Sunday to sit in pressbox yesterday? How far off are Crisp/Thrower from playing? Weeks for Crisp and couple months for Thrower?

How far off are Crisp/Thrower from playing? Weeks for Crisp and couple months for Thrower? Both Bournival/Beaulieu will be recalled following Saturday night's game as well. I don't think they want to send Bournival down permanently (or for a longer stretch) so doing this at least keeps him in game shape. As for injuries, Crisp was skating a little while back but nothing has been said since then. Thrower is a longer-term injury although I don't think he'll miss a couple more months (I think it's more like one month at this point). DON
I get they don't want to staple Bournival in Hamilton lineup, but seems to call up sun and sent back down tues/wed, what good is that? When they must of known either Weise or Sekac would be playing Monday. no big deal but maybe a few weeks in Hamilton is best for him right now with glut of bottom six NHLers on roster and biggest of all no injuries yet.. They took the team picture in Montreal this week, maybe they wanted him there for that?
DON
Crispy med ically cleared to play and sent to Hamilton, he and Nevins should add some grit to forward group
BlueKross
Both Nevins and Crisp in lineup yesterday-- Bournival and Beaulieu not in lineup probably so they can make it to Edmonton for tonight's game. Montreal has three games in four nights on the road-- B&B may see a game or two from ice level
dlbalr
I found this odd: Of the top eight PIM leaders in the AHL so far this year, six have suited up for the Bulldogs at some point in their careers (this includes Bobby Farnham who was with the team in the preseason a few years back). DON
Its a goon factory! (or just reflection of Bergy's culture change)
ICEWATER77
Haven't heard a peep from Pateryn in weeks..how is he doing? will his play merit a call up anytime soon? Habs defensemen(except for ol' reliable) are struggling mightily!
dlbalr
Haven't heard a peep from Pateryn in weeks..how is he doing? will his play merit a call up anytime soon? Habs defensemen(except for ol' reliable) are struggling mightily! He hasn't played as well as he did last season. I don't know if it's that teams are keying on him, he's not happy having been sent down, or if he was just playing over his head last year. He hasn't played bad by any stretch (just not as dominant as 2013-14) but right now, I'd say Drewiske should be at the top of the recall list. dlbalr
With Bowman up and another forward likely on the way, Sahir Gill has been brought back for his second and final PTO.
ICEWATER77
Quick question: what happens when Bourque lights up the scoreboard in Hamilton? Do we call him back up? move him? it's a real head-scratcher
DON
Quick question: what happens when Bourque lights up the scoreboard in Hamilton? Do we call him back up? move him? it's a real head-scratcher If injury to bottom six player or two, he would be a safe call up. And maybe AHL lifestyle wont be to his liking, as well being passed over in waivers would suck for him and he plays some inspired hockey? DON
sounds ok with me But odds are, he is like Gomer and simply washed up at relatively early age.
DON
Hudon 5th in AHL scoring and tied for 1st among rookies. Not bad at all.
dlbalr
Hudon 5th in AHL scoring and tied for 1st among rookies. Not bad at all. With Pastrnak up in Boston now, Hudon could take over the outright rookie lead soon. Also, Hamilton's getting some reinforcements (for a few days at least) with Beaulieu/Bowman going down. Whether or not one of them stays before they play on Friday in Lake Erie remains to be seen.
