Machine of Loving Grace
Caps top line is scary. Can't wait to see Eller-Galchenyuk-Semin in action.
dlbalr
Caps top line is scary. It's even scarier when you sub Nicklas Backstrom in Kuznetsov's spot once he's ready to come back. Something to watch for, Chris Brown is the player who went after Tinordi last year for that hit on Nate Schmidt. Both are playing tonight so there may be a bit of unfinished business from Brown's perspective.

He's got a bit of a chip on his shoulder
dlbalr
I'm interested in how Lernout fares tonight. It's his first NHL exhibition game and I think he could surprise.
Guest Stogey24
He's solid. Good skater for a big boy too Wow, RDS won't even show pre season games eh
sbhatt
Tokarski on his knees looking clueless on the first Caps goal...picking up where he left off last season.

dlbalr
Wow, RDS won't even show pre season games eh They're showing it. But it's blacked out outside the viewing region as usual. Fleischmann scores, that should help his cause.
dlbalr
Tie game, Galchenyuk with the goal. From the sounds of things, the Habs are lucky to be in it right now; the play has been largely in Montreal's end.

Tokes has been absolute garbage but Washington hasn't been that good about capitalizing on it. Holtby shouldn't be allowing two goals. PP time. sbhatt
Outshot 15-3, tied 2-2. Incredibly lucky considering Tokarski is playing.

Holtby shouldn't be allowing two goals. That's going to make Condon's half of the game a bit more interesting. Not that one bad game will decide Tokarski's fate but I'd like to see Condon at least give him some real competition for the job.

I am watching on the west coast. We don't look that good as a team but certain players look real good. the Galchenyuk line looks great. dlbalr
Ovechkin scores on the PP to restore Washington's lead. McCarron and Oshie are serving double minors after a shoving match as well.
dlbalr
After a not-so-strong outing from Tokarski, Condon's half of the game should be particularly interesting.

dlbalr
That is what we don't need Mccarron doing. He has a shot at the 4th line goon statline - more PIMS than TOI.
dlbalr
2nd period TOI for the defence: Markov: 9:28 Subban: 8:47 Beaulieu: 7:26 Gilbert: 5:58 Lernout: 5:02 Tinordi: 3:16 Uh, does Markov need to play half a period in a preseason game? habs rule
He has a shot at the 4th line goon statline - more PIMS than TOI. True dat. But we don't need a goon and he ain't going to make the team that way. He better start learning to control his temper. And take less penalities. Team looked better in the 2nd at least they had some shots on goal.

Nope neither does, Subby Tinordi does. Beaulieu does . Pretty chippy game so far. Lot of penalities, it must be preseason for the refs.
