  1. YESSS! 2-1 Been listening to this one on the radio so I didn't get to watch it, but it was just as satisfying. .500 here we are. Now we build up from here..
  2. If we're still sitting at .250 when we get to 15 games played, i'll be worried... real worried. For now, i'm reasonably sure this is statistical quirk. The habs aren't playing great but they aren't playing horribly either. I think the law of averages will kick in and the Habs will win games in good time. The real danger is if the losing continues, despite reasonably good play, then the players will get discouraged/demotivated and then they'll play bad, real bad, and lose games even more.
  3. Bruins win. The team who's players would literally give the middle-finger to opposing fans and resort to dishonorable thuggery wins the cup. It seems terribly unjust, and it definitely sucks, but what goes around will come around. The Bruins have amassed a mountain-load of bad karma and it'll bite them in the ass sooner or later. Enjoy your cup, Boston. You won't get another for decades. As for Vancouver.. looks like they couldn't get it done. The Canadian teams can't seem to bring home the cup. It's going to have to be up to the Habs I tell ya!
  4. Tied series... Tied game... Overtime... Winner takes all. GO HABS GO!
  5. Nice! Thanks for the updates! Looks like the Bruins caughht up a bit in shots near the end of the period, but 1-0 after 20 minutes is a good position to be in. Hopefully the Habs keep their foot on the pedal and don't let up.. Boston is going to be coming hard.. GO HABS GO
  6. I'm at work so i can't watch, but by looking at the boxscore it seems like tha Habs are all over the Bruins! 1-0!
  7. I feel like we've been violated. NHL on Chara: "We took into consideration that Chara has not been involved in a supplemental discipline incident during his 13-year NHL career." Awesome. Can I use this too? "But officer, during my 13-years driving, i've never once received a fine for speeding. Clearly i'm exonerated!" Idiots. Somebody has to die before the NHL wakes up. Eff you, Bettman. Eff you.
  8. I don't buy the "I didn't know where I was" excuse. For the entire duration of the play, Chara's head is facing the boards. The boards and the incoming post are clearly within line of sight. These players are professionals that know where they are at all times. On top of that, we can clearly see in the video that he had line-of-sight at very moments leading right up to the hit. Even if he didn't truly intend to shove Max's face in there, it was still, objectively, an insanely dangerous play on its own and warrants (in my view) a 10-game suspension (minimum)
  9. I just showed the video to 4 friends of mine in Texas that are Dallas Stars fans, I didn't say anything and just said: "hey guys, have a look at this." Their reactions included "holy cheap shot", "wow now that's intent to injure, steered him right in like that" and "ouch.. that's a 10-game suspension right there" As Habs fans, we naturally have a certain bias, but taking a step back and looking at this with a certain sense of objectivity, i STILL don't see how anyone can clear Chara of any blame. I've watched the replay 30 times now. Chara knew full well what he was doing.
  10. Wow.. what a.. game... I'll try to be as civil as possible: Chara is a disgusting human being. What a senseless, violent, unsportsmanlike attack. Max got rid of the puck a full 2-3 seconds before Chara suckers him like that. That's intent to injure, no matter how you cut it. Suspended for the rest of the season in my books.
  11. Pedal to the metal! Great 2-0 start! 9-1 in shots... no time to sit back. Keep pushing!
  12. Wow the Habs mopped the floor with the Sens tonight. The Habs train keeps on rolling and i've very happy about that, although i can't help but feel a little bad for the Sens, who are my second (very distant second, but still) favourite team. They need to do some major work. Poor Kovalev must be depressed haha. At the end of the day though, 2 pts is 2 pts and a 7-1 win is good for morale and confidence! GHG!
  13. I've watched the replay a few times and it seemed like MaxPac was gliding towards Chara and just kind of shoved him a bit to steer him away. It was a small push too, but still, from Chara's perspective, ending 3-2 after being up 2-0, he was probably really pissed. He had no business stirring up crap like that even with the little tap MaxPac gave him. He shoved at least one official too. I hope he gets a suspension EDIT: Ah dlbair beat me to the facts. Thanks for the info!
