I admit that I was disappointed that I did not get my prediction in on time. Looking back now, I admit too, that I would have not even come close.

I will however, predict (pray) that we will get a decent draft pick!

Go HABS Go!

a) 37-34-11 for 85 pts

b) 10th in the East

c) 20th in the league

d) 205 GF

Habs are a better team than last year. However, we have to consider our divisional opponents. We'll play them often. The Sabres and Leafs should have much better seasons. The Bruins are the Cup Champions and still very strong. Only the Sens seem an easy prey.

I prefer being cautiously pessimistic and be pleasantly surprised as the season goes on.

Plus, seeing how the habs couldn't buy an easy goal this preseason - when opposition is weaker- I am not very confident in our scoring abilities.

Looks like I won for being the most pessimistic. Well, I *thought* I was being pessimistic.

39-31-12

90 points

10th east

21st league

227 goals scored

*Price gets hurt at some point during the season making way for Peter "the sieve " Budaj. He struggles to get the job done.

*Kostitsyn gets lost in the shuffle of the lineup never finding his groove. He gets traded to LA mid-season when Gagne gets hurt for LA. We get a prospect/pick.

At least I guessed that Kostitsyn would get traded.

Looks like iWill won :/ and he wasn't anywhere close either!

Nope even this March 21 prediction of the winner made was too optimistic. We didn't get close to the 90pts illWill had predicted and illWill finished second.

This years winner is sakiqc who won with his prediction of 37-34-11 for 85 points.

The Habs record was 31-35-16 for 78 points.

Honourable mention to Habsfan who correctly predicted that the Habs would score 212 goals this year

(including the 5 we were awarded for winning 5 of our 17 shootouts).

This was the only exactly correct prediction that anyone made in any of the categories.

BCHabnut was close, predicting 211 goals.

On one point, sakiqc's crystal ball was overly pessimistic; he foresaw only 205 Habs goals.

I predict a repeat of 1993

Montreal will win their 25th Stanley cup in 2012 against the LA Kings at home in 6 games. Price wins Vezina and Conn Smythe.

Believe

The Habs really let me down, but I did call LA Kings in the final.

The crystal ball is a little tarnished, I could have sworn it was Carey holding the trophies but Jon Q is a handsome dark haired lad too so you can see how the mistake was made.
