Borkless at the Bell Centre. Jets vs. Habs 7:30PM EST (RDS, SNE, TSN3)

The lack of urgency on the PP is frustrating. Subban's drop pass to no one in particular was ugly, there's no support from the forwards when the puck is dumped back into Montreal's zone (Price stops it for one of the d-men while everyone else hangs out in the neutral zone), and the passing isn't crisp either. You don't have to go all out by any stretch but they need to start viewing PP's as a chance to score a goal, not an opportunity to coast for a shift and conserve some energy.

thats true. and the powerplay they just tried to put on..................is exactly the same one they tried against the leafs on oct. 8 game one. 15 games later they are doing the same thing every time. and there is nothing fast about this team on the pp. matter of fact when they get on the pp, they look like the slowest team i have watched this season. therrien is not even trying a different look.

get DD off the pp. he has one goal all year (4 on 4 ot) try something new. its starting to get scott gomez (not scoring for one calender year) funny.

An odd note about Desharnais - he has been fantastic at the faceoff dot on the PP - 67.6%. That alone is going to have him out there to start the PP if he can keep that up.

if thats his entire contribution put manny out there then.......he is tied with dd in pp goals and just as good on draws.

Markov has been turning the Puck over a lot lately

He and Subban seem to be having a competition for who can make the most egregious turnover in a game. It might be time to consider splitting them up again, perhaps that may help them be a little less nonchalant with the puck.

well said by commentary between periods "lars ellar the only montreal centerman never to have a set line to play on. already this year has had six different combinations of wingers. his entire career with montreal he has been constanlty shuffled around"

this years centerman

pleks - 5

Eller - 4

dd - 1

manny - 0

and Eller was playing with bourque.

I think Subban is just messing with their heads. He appears to make a wonderfully inelegant drop pass to an opposing forward....knowing... and here's the diabolical cleverness of it all..... that Carey On will save the day against the poor salivating forward who will thereafter and for the rest of his career fear CP.

It's a sublime pschological game he's playing.

At our level of insight, we just don't understand it.

Hmm.....

This game sucks. If I had a few beers, I could easily fall asleep during this one.

Stacking the deck with Subban and Markov works about as well as Crosby and Malkin on a line in the playoffs.

The Habs are getting roughed up big time. Fear not. Gonchar is en route to the Bell Centre.
