What's left of the IceCaps (9-5-4) begin a 3-in-3 road stretch tonight as they travel to Rochester to take on the Americans (8-9-1). On the injury front, none of St. John's walking wounded are expected to return and it's believed that Connor Crisp is the closest to getting back in the lineup. Hopefully that comes sooner than later. With the 'Caps having nine defencemen and an awful fourth line, I expect we'll see 11 forwards and 7 d-men.

That roster looks like a HWL ahl team of a GM that said, "meh, just auto-sign some players and let the computer set the lines"

It's a good thing they're not facing my old AHL teams then...

The really scary thing is you could make a case that this is a must-win for St. John's. After this, they get two straight against a fully-loaded Marlie squad. The realist in me thinks those games aren't going to be pretty so if they want any sort of positive this week, it's probably going to have to be tonight.

Carr's having himself a nice second period. Two quick goals to give St. John's a 3-2 lead. (Rochester made it 2-0 and then Ellis got one back.)

Edit: St. John's twitter account has Carr with two but the scoresheet has McCarron with the go-ahead marker.

Any word of how Tinordi looked? Must of been rusty

I didn't catch any of the game but I'm sure he had his ups and downs. After sitting so long, that's pretty much a given. He may still be rusty by the time this 3-in-3 finishes up (I suspect he'll be recalled after that). I read they had him out there in OT which is rather interesting considering a big, slow blueliner is the last guy you want usually in 3-on-3 situations.

I saw highlights and on one goal he seemed slow when "his" man stepped out from corner and buried one before he really did anything or anticipated it.

BUT, it is a conditioning stint and was just his 1st game of year.
