Habs re-sign Bournival

I forgot our management is smarter than everyone else. I will keep harping on size as long as we get useless small players like Bourn,Mitchell, Flynn. It's been proven you can't win with Smurfs. Hawks aren't big,but they are the only exception, and we have no Kane. Look how Ottaw and Tampa's big dmen kept their net clear. Our forwards were too weak, small or scared to get rebounds and screen goalies. It's ridiculous our power forward is 5'8

complaintsng about management doesn't seem to go well here

It's not that complaining about management doesn't seem to go over well here, it's that whining for the sake of whining doesn't. They sign a prospect in Johnston, all you basically have to say is boo hoo, he's small. They re-sign Bournival and what's your one comment? Boo hoo, he's small. We're not idiots here, we know where to look to find out the size of a player. We're also hoping to have more to talk about these players than merely their size.

If you've read the boards before registering as you claim, you'd know this already. Bring something substantive to the discussion. A snarky comment about a players' size while saying nothing else doesn't. It's whining for the sake of whining and no one has any interest in that.

If you want to criticize management, that's fine. Make a post with well articulated arguments and there will be people here that will be happy to discuss it with you, even if they disagree with your point of view. Simply bemoaning a players' size isn't that, hence the reaction you've received thus far.

On utilizing assets: how do you utilize the small AHL or 5th liners we are stocked with. Pleks and Gally should be the only small forwards on this team. Andrighetto OR Hudon also if they have talent. I also would have kept Cammi . I hate the signings of small borderline Nhlers. They are not an asset

They can be utilized a few different ways. If they're good enough to play in the NHL, then play them in the NHL. Or, find a trade partner and pick up a draft pick or other asset that can be used either right away or down the road. Or, keep them in the minors. A winning environment in the AHL is good for player development. If Bournival happens to make it to the IceCaps in the fall, that would be great. It makes that team better and given his success in that league, would help take the pressure off of all the rookies in terms of having to produce right away. Each route is different and each can be a positive for the organization.

Oh Brian don't bring logic and common sense into the argument. It just kills the argument. :)
