As per I/O, Price and Markov shared a hug at practice. Much ado about nothing, it seems.
Trizzak
Did they... did they make out?
ForumGhost
My sources weren't didn't specify, but I think we can assume yes.
Chris
Maybe they can score a couple of goals for Price, that would be a nice touch.

Sounds like maybe Markov got to score with Price.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhm shucks, I just love these guys. Brought a tear to my eye...

And he leans over (in his best Drago voice) and wispers in Price's ear "I will crush you" laugh.gif

Marky: " you know, you have a nice face "
Price: " thanks; yeah I get that a lot "
Marky: "no, I mean, don't ever piss me off again; you have a nice face "

Yes.

I don't worry when I hear of fighting or rumors of fights rather I will worry when there is no fighting in regards with our teams lack of focus and will to compete.

That's the next big debate. Who hugged who. Price hugged Markov vs Markov hugged Price.

I think it was clearly Markov who hugged Price since Price is the one with attitude and drinking problems and has no heart. This shows me he is truly not a number one goalie in the NHL.

I heard the locker room is split on the issue.

I think it's blown out of proportion. It happens in every family. Tempers flare up and brothers just start hugging each other. NO big deal.

From Alan Walsh's Twitter account:

Interesting stat of the night.... Habs' Price has 10 successful hugs in last 42 tries.

*rofl*

news of the day, Markov hugs Price ... man, that's so ridicilous!!! laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

other guys write about wins, this Montreal media is writing huge stories about hugs at practice. as someone wrote yesterday, this team became a sideshow, just something for the media ... 1vomit.gif wacko.gif

Price really is kind of a mystery man. Is he a brooding, over-sensitive, mopey type? (E.g., his near-tearful press conference; his Roy gesture to the crowd; his punching things in the dressing room). Or is he a laid-back, take-things-as-they-come dude with a sense of humour? (E.g., the infamous pic of him smoking five cigarettes at once, or this).

Unlike players like Gionta or Koivu, he's a hard one for a fan to read.

his hard to figure out because he still a kid...i think we are about 2-3 years away to see what price really becomes..and i for one thinks it we be greatness

Price's biggest problem is his lack of maturity. I've always said that I liked the Kid. He's big and he's got talent oozing out of his butthole. But until he matures a little more, my feeling is that he'll continue to be front page news for all the wrong reasons.

I mean, it,s obvious that AT THIS MOMENT, Halak is the better goalie. Ride him till the end of the year. I'm not saying that the Habs should keep price on the bench for the next 2 1/2 months, but instead of giving Price 2/3 of the games, Halak should get 2/3 of the games! Then Bob will have to figure out which goalie he wants to keep for next year. Hopefully by then Carey will have learned a few things and will come to training camp with more maturity and with a better work ethic!

Bang on Habsfan!!! Let's remember he's 22, he's 22, I repeat, you get the picture. For kicks, what's the most difficult city to be a starting goalie in the NHL? I'd say here...

And then broke it over his pants because he was a sieve in practice...it's all over SportsCenter

Meh, I think JM was right when he said Price is driven. Clearly a little frustrated but only because he expects better of himself. Nothing wrong with that.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
I see Price as another Ribeiro-style debacle waiting to happen. He's going through growth pains, the city is turning on him, he's probably turning on the city, and he'll be driven out of town before the time when he matures into a fully-realized player. Then everyone, including fans who have now given up on Price, will turn on the Habs for 'not developing talent' properly, or else 'not being able to keep talent.'

Ya heard it here first.
bar
My thing is, why does it have to be so cut and dried? Why does it have to be that Price is done...AT 22!!! Why can't it just be, he's not playing so well right now, there's tons of models you can look at...the Fluery, Brodeur, Luongo cases speak for themselves. Why turn on a player at all, it's not like he has terrible numbers. Infact, his numbers (besides wins, but thats a team stat vs. personal) is compareable to Fluery's. The habs score 1 more goal per game for Price and the win/loss does not look so lopsided.

As a fan, I really am embarressed how the other fans (for the most part) are treating young players on this team. If they wanna bitch about the young players, do not bitch about the lack of development of said young players, when the fans and media are part of the problem. You put a guy on the 3rd or 4th lines, do not expect him to get pts every game, etc.
