Great, a game I can watch... except I got about an hour's sleep last night and will probably pass out the moment I get home from work in about 30 minutes.

Let's hope the hard-working, fast-skating team shows up and with a plan to deal with Neil's sure attempts at his crap. With some divine intervention we are still in this - GO HABS!!!!
lazy26
It all depends which team shows up. I sure hope it's the real Habs. But I do have a bad feeling about this.

GO HABS GO!!!!

They look better today than they usually do.

Nice pass from Kuba to Kovy for the goal. Non-stellar coverage from Gill.
rafikz
Kovyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
saskhab
Gill-Weber out against Foligno-Fisher-Kovalev. I saw that one coming. Martin always seems to be owned on the road when it comes to matchups. I guess that's what happens when there's a massive drop off from your top 6 to your bottom six, and your top 4 to your bottom pair.

Ryan O'Byrne is becoming a really good player..i think he well be better then komi soon..

Maybe what Komi became, but not what he was at his best. He should be playing ahead of Mara, though.

Penalty here on Gill. I'm starting to wonder if Gill should be the D that plays forward 5 on 5 and gets shifted back to D for special teams (the PK). I've never seen a D so defined by his PK abilities.
saskhab
Hell of a tip by Spezza. Damn it.

Pouliot!
JoeLassister
Typical "How Latendresse should have scored" goal from Pouliot.

i aways thought that komi was way over rated by montreal fans..most only see it now because his with the maple leafs..

Man this team has no offense. They cycle but they never get the puck to the net. I sure wish they would start shooting more to get out of this slump. Scoring only on the PP is not going to win you many games.

Not the kind of goals that earned Lats a 3rd star of the week though
saskhab
Rafikz, I think you can add Pouliot to your signature... he'll be rolling in the Benjamins if he keeps up his current scoring pace.

Some good hits in this game. Sergei just laid out an Ottawa guy in the slot and caused a chance as a result.
saskhab
Speaking of big hits... Pouliot knocks out a pane of glass hitting Karlsson!
bar
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
brobin
Crap.. Cammy down and it doesn't look good... now who will shoot?
ForumGhost
Fantastic, down goes Cammy. Looking at the replay, I would be surprised if that wasn't a long term injury. Like last year, we are losing this year to injuries.
brobin
Oh my.. the rebound shows his leg all bend under him against that boards... that is probably his knee.. crap crap crap
rafikz
Well, we won't make the playoffs

Especially considering the upcoming games (Philly, Pitt, Vancouver) wacko.gif
Lammy
OUCH!!!!! blink.gif

Habsy
That looks serious. I'm at a loss for words, the injuries to key players.
bar
We play the good teams better than the bad teams...I'd be more worried about CAR, TOR, NYI.

Damn, I'd be surprised if Cammalleri was back before the Olympics.

Horrible luck.

GIONTA! Let's win this one for Cammy!
brobin
Gionta from Markov... the PP is working at least...

win it for the Squid!!
Sir_Boagalott
Ya, the way Cammy fell it definitely didnt look good.

Oh well, most of the callups this year have been excellent. Hopefully that can continue, can can any Bulldog realistically replace Cammy's offense? Unfortunately probably not.

saskhab
Yeah, having the Olympics coming up is actually a good thing if Cammalleri needs time to heal. Two weeks without Cammalleri sucks, but isn't catastrophic. If it's REALLY serious, though... it doesn't really matter.
rafikz
Halaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak
brobin
There is another point saved by Halak... big 2 on 1 with 30 seconds... big save...

Need to win this in OT. Too much scoring talent on the sens versus our pea shooters.
saskhab

Halaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak

Big save for sure.... hit his shoulder or bounce off his glove? Couldn't tell. How Alfie got to that loose puck first is beyond me.
ForumGhost
O'Byrne is looking great tonight. On the other side of the spectrum, Gill takes another, possibly fatal, penalty.
brobin
sigh.. way to let spezza walk in... bergeron.. what the hell is he doing!!!!

JoeLassister
What the hell was Bergeron doing on the ice in OT ?
brobin
I agree, that should be a penalty shot... would be better for us anyway as they are going to play this out on the PP.

Nice save again!

i agree..i really think he is getting alot better..i think if he didnt get hurt in the begining of this year we be talking about him alot more..
brobin
To be fair, they were trying to win in the OT, hence they are putting the offensive guy out. Playing D and hoping for a shootout is not a good strategy against Ottawa.

Lucky break.. pun intended

3 on 3.. interesting..
KEEP26
come on bergeron is not the first habs player spezza walked around... laugh.gif
kenadian
Guess we we're just trying to wait till out penalty ended and went to the PP.....FArgin Joke MAB is just plain BAD!!!!!!!!
Habsy
Well, he beat our best player, and our so-called number one goalie, gotta give credit when it's due.
BCHabnut
Well, call that a season. Bob start selling. No way out with cammy down.
brobin
Crap.. lose the draw, then watch what speed looks like... Markov has to be more aware and not get beat like that..

Well, we got a point we probably didn't deserve, but to me the biggest issue I see is a lack of team speed. We just don't have the guys who can burn people to the outside like we use to.

3rd star for Halak.. got us a point.
