This hour has 22 minutes is wrong HABS! This hour has 60 minutes!

I wonder if Subban plays again. The home crowd factor for Moore and PK should give us a boost. It's a must win. They should play well

Should we call the Metro-Moore-Moen line the M line? Last night watching the game with me friends I started saying "the M's are out on the ice" or "there's the M's" when I spotted them laugh.gif

I expect a better effort tonight. My gf and I are in MTL to take in the game (and for V-Day) and she's never seen the Habs win live.

GO HABS GO!!!!

Hm. Lose-lose for you. Habs play bad and lose and you're in a bad mood, she gets in a bad mood, and no nookie. They win and you both get drunk, live it up, and pass out: no nookie. May I suggest going to the casino instead?
Athlétique.Canadien
Spacek, Markov and Mara are all listed as game time decisions so it looks highly probable Subban plays. I'm surprised Spacek is a game time decision.

Colin, I just noticed your fave habs, LOL.

Even though we will probably be short on bodies for this one, I am confident we will win. Reason: yesterday's game showed to everyone on the team who wasn't a believer that anything is possible when you don't quit.

Go! Habs Go!

We ALL know he'll be the next GM after Gauthier is fired mid-next year. At the very least we'll have active sticks and monster performers. tongue.gif

Honestly, I like Mcguire. He's a smart hockey guy who's been around some very talented people in his hockey experience. Would he be a good GM? Who knows. He might be astounding, he might be brutal. Thing of it is this: never know unless someone gives him a chance. If he goes to, say, the Nordiques when Phoenix relocates (okay, wishful thinking) and wins consecutive Stanley Cups, how do you think Habs fans will react? biggrin.gif

I believe someone will soon give him a flyer in a managing position - not GM, though. Assistant GM, perhaps, would be the perfect place for him to start. He can hire Bob McKenzie as his director of amateur scouting and he's already got a leg up on 99% of the league.

In fact, it would not surprise me in the least if Gauthier hired Mcguire in the ooff-season to be the Ass't GM. No surprise at all.

Would be nice if McGuire would be named GM after Gauthier.

It'd give Patrick Roy more time to prepare. Then when the situation is worse than it's ever been 6 months after McGuire is hired, Roy can walk in like a savior. It'd be a bigger boost to the team than just replacing Gauthier in a so-so situation.

Time to kick some ass

If the Habs aren't motivated enough to pound the Flyers tonight, then they have a huge problem

GO HABS GO!

Geez, leave to get food and it's 2-0 Flyers.

Haha I really don't mean to harp on this, but what does PK need to learn in the AHL?
haber
The only positive is PK. *shakeshead*

he's staying and those who think he shold go back down dont really know.... it doesnt matter squat what other prospects have donein this hotbed... pk is exactly what we need...

Shoot, rebound, score x3.

Thats the Flyers game plan.

The habs game plan, dump the puck in, change lines.
OR
Dump the puck in, not get it back.
OR if they get the puck,
cycle puck x3, then cough it up, if it somehow makes to a player that can shoot, they miss the net sad.gif
Cataclaw
What a freaking disaster. After yesterday's game you think the guys would come out with some fire in their eyes... nope. Down 0-3 once again.

Thumbs down.
bar
I want to give the habs a break, they have sooo many injuries, but they're lacking heart whenever they play bigger teams.
redondo
I guess this was gonna be the statement game?

Flyers 3 - Subban 0

Dammit our injuries are killing us

That's now 2 penalties that Subban has drawn.

Back-breaker. Above the glove snap shot that froze Halak.

God damnit...needed that save.

Hamrlik looks like he's already on his couch watching the Olympics.
Athlétique.Canadien
Yay, looking like we are back to .5 club. They'd better do well after the Olympic break. Maybe they can win this game but it looks like too big a mountain to climb right now. WHERE ARE THE GOALS?
bar
Those two are a menace on the PP I tell you.

Please get 1 measly goal before the 2nd ends Habs. Pretty please
bar
Time to check out the moguls and speed skating.
KoZed
How many more freaking breakaways are we gonna give before the game is over?

Our D is soooo slooooow...

And a goal on the ensuing PP... Just great.
rafikz
I hate my team lol

NBA All-Star weekend is on TSN2 for those who are interested

I'm worried for this year, but long term not worried. This is not the full team, so can't be too hard on them really.
hab29RETIRED
I can't believe I left Lake Louise early so I could get home for game time. What a turkey of a game. Love Subban though. Man this kid just oozes confidence. Having said that, I hope they send him back to Hamilton so he won't get infected by the rest of these turkeys.

I also fear what Martin may turn him into. God, I hope next year they SUbban brings his coach in Hamilton with him!!

gomez is playin 1 helluva game... it seems as though he's the only 1 taking this game personally!!!

Gomez, Gionta and Subban are the only ones have shown up tonight.

PK needs to close out his little stint with the big club with a fight, carter could use an ass kicking for messing with him last night, pronger could be more than the kid can handle, mike ricahards, as much as he could captain the habs any time he wanted is a chippy/dirty player, Powe needs to be Plowed immediately.

I'd like the habs sent someone after that Pronger. I really don't care that whoever it is would probably get pummelled, just so long as they get some shots in on Pronger.
han_dyl
I think this last 2 games should be a clear message to management that this team should start being built for the future. We are obviously not going to make the playoffs, and even if they did squeak in lets be honest, we would see a replay of last year. Time to start getting rid of some of the aging veterans.
Cataclaw
Pathetic.

Absolutely pathetic.

Habs better come back with some scoring or there will be serious problems for this club going into the final stretch of this season.

I wholeheartedly agree...it was not too difficult coming up with the HW 3 Stars tonight.

The Slovakian women's hockey team would have scored more goals.

sad part about you being right is that, while I doubt if the slovakian women would have scored against the flyers, they probably would have scored more on the habs 1vomit.gif

You guys have been hard on the club. I don't share your feeling. With so many guys out, let's face it: it had to happen.

We're not done yet. After the Olympics, we should have Markov, AK46, Pouliot and Cam back pretty soon. We won't be an easy prey. And we also will have Subban in the lineup. It is pure stupidity to keep him in Hamilton. He already is the best defenseman after Markov and Hamrlik. The solution is pure and simple: trade Mara for a draft pick or place him on the waivers.

We need Subban with the big club.
brobin
Well, tough night for Halak. Spacek and Hammer were brutal.

subban is going to be great, but this team is going nowhere. I think the difference is he is playing with energy and an expectation to win. Get him away from this mess as soon as possible before this team's malaise rubs off.

This team should be sellers. they win against some top teams because those teams are mailing it in. They can't win the games that matter, against the teams they are battling for a spot. There is no point sneaking into the playoffs and going out quick, especially if you sell more assets to bring more 3rd liners in.

Sell, and start building.

We should do the contrary. We need more Subbans on the team. His confidence, his energy can become contagious. I believe in the power of positiveness, and Subban would be a great positive for the team once the lineup will be complete.
