Forwards:
A. Kostitsyn - Plekanec - S. Kostitsyn
Pouliot - Gomez - Gionta
Moen - Moore - Lapierre
Darche - Metropolit - Pyatt

Defencemen:
Markov - O'Byrne
Hamrlik - Spacek
Gill - Gorges

Price (confirmed)

I'm 3-1 in GDT, lets keep the streak going! Haven't heard who gets the start today, still early out west so probably a little later we'll get some info. Going with the winning lineup from Boston, can't see there being many changes.

Canadiens de Montreal Carey Price sera le gardien partant ce soir face aux Sharks de San Jose./ Carey Price will be the starting goaltender tonight against the San Jose Sharks.
Fanpuck33
Game will be on Yahoo Sports in the US. I doubt I'll be able to stay awake after only sleeping 4 hours last night.
Dalhabs
Sharks on the road... if we get away with 1 point Im happy.
Chris
My Prediction

1. 5-1 SHarks
2. Most posters will blame Price. Obviously Halak would have won

I'm with Dalhabs, 1 point will be excellent tonight, they need 4 points in California, which will be tough.

They gotta get 4 out of every 6 points from the Olympics on. 2 for 2 so far.

Interesting note: Last time they were in San Jose, it was the day after the Grabovski incident.
lazy26
Too late for me, gotta be up at 5am.

GO HABS GO!!!

Would love to have a 1 on 1 with the Molsons and talk what it takes to win, success and business. My gut feeling is that they are too smart to put up with this mediocrity too long. Most 7th or 8th place teams assess their weaknessess at trade deadline and do something about it if they really want to go far, cap space aside. Let's not forget that even with our full line-up (yes, including Markov, Cammalleri, zzzzz!!) we couldn't get much past .500 hockey. Everybody knows we are too small and management is now saying to all of us that they weren't going to do anything about it. Unless Boston, Philly, etc. change how they play playoff hockey and they don't hit anymore, we may as well bow out now.

Tonight's game? If there's no hitting and the real Habs show up: 4 - 2, Habs.

If the habs of the 2nd period versus Boston show up: 5 - 1, SJ. :puke: :puke: :puke:

Well, you're kidding yourself if you think the Molson's are in this solely for success. Business is the key word. As for "most 7th and 8th" place teams doing something about it at the trade deadline? How many made any move worthy of note this year? And as for your comment about the full lineup? We've had it for two games.

Haha not to nit pick...but you're assessment that the habs at full strength, no injuries, was barely .500, was made on 2 games. The habs this season have played 2 games with full lineup. Not exactly fair to base this team on the play this season.

Calling for a 4-1 win!!! Place bets!
nikohab
The whole issue with the habs is that they arel a new team and they really haven't found their chemistry yet due to many injuries. However this being said they will definitely need to sign Plekanec now and other free agents which is the real task. My whole outlook with this team is simple we really need to establish a #1 goalie and get a captain in order to get this team looking like a team rather than a bunch of free agents that are here for the big contracts. My captain would be GIONTA. 1habslogo.gif
KEEP26
if we win this game i be really happy...but if we dont i wont cry...

I think the gm still what to see want this team can do as he was one of the guys that put it together...

I think price or halak is worth more on draft day...if we are going to move one of them it well be then..

I also think the gm is going to be working hard to more a D man to free up cap and make room for our younger dmen..

Not making a trade is a good move...we get to see how the guys play for the rest of the year if we make the play offs great, if they sh*t to bed then we get a better draft pick and know for sure what chages need to be done to make this a better team and not just guess because of the guys being hurt all year..

I love to make the playoffs because once you are in its a new year but if not we got to look at the up side...we cant sit here and blame young goalies for all our problems all summer..

GO HABS GO..

Getting at least a point tonite would be awesome.

Go Habs Go.

Pulled out a W last year, but scored 3 early ones and it was at home.
brobin
Going to be a tough game to win. In fact, this whole trip after Boston could be a disaster.
MFT77
Habs clinging to 1-0 lead tx to Gionta. That line has been dangerous as Gionta just about made it 2-0. Price has been very good keeping the SHarks off the board. The Pleks line not looking very good.
bar
Look at all the Debbie Downers posting...making me a sad panda tongue.gif
ForumGhost
Wow, what a save by Price. Not only was it spectacular, he made it look easy. The Kostitsyns are looking dangerous tonight.
bar
The Gomez Gionta Chickboy line is looking gewd.

As tough as it is on me, I'm going to bed. Gonna catch the highlights in the AM.

It looks to me like the Habs need this intermission, they were out of steam.

Carey Price = simply amazing.
brobin
Great game by Price so far. PP is a bit weak, could of used some cushion.

far so good, but Chris Lee is the ref so I expect more bad calls in the 3rd.

Awe inspiring. that glove save without his stick was incredible.
MFT77
Awesome play by Price to keep the Habs in the lead.

Hopefully they don't try to just hang on in the 3rd.

Cmon Habs. Get the 2 points here.

Earlier in the second Gio was going off on a change and a shark Dman just dropped the shoulder and layed him out. No call.
JacksonJ
When Bob assembled the team he picked guys who play well down the stretch and in the playoffs, and its starting to show. Lots of grit tonight, but they can be passive when they need to draw a penalty. Can't tell you how proud I was to see Gio going after Blake even though he gives up 9 inches to him.
JacksonJ
max... 1nono.gif

Edit: If I'm JM I don't send Max out for another shift, he'll be killed.
han_dyl
Will Max get another shift tonight? If he's lucky he won't. They are gonna kill him.
hab29RETIRED
Aww crap.
Trizzak
Apparently I picked a bad time to show up?
MFT77
Damm penalty on Hammy, and the Sharks tie it up.

They better not sit back.
hab29RETIRED
aww crap. Terrible third period and now its 3-2 sj mad.gif
MFT77
Whatta fn joke.

How bad is the Habs positional play.

JMartin and his system just sucks.
MFT77
Dummy Moore nowwhere is the right position on the winning goal.

Not much use so far.
JacksonJ
1wall.gif And JM's system throws away an absolute gem by Price. I hope Carey gets the start on Saturday.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY you can hang this one on price, but I really think, they need to go with you win and you're in for the stretch drive.
BCHabnut
What a disapointing loss. I really thought they could do it, but they held back in the third and were dominated. Can't fault Price on the two deflections and the wide open slot one timer. Price was amazing tonight. I liked the way the Habs played for 50 minutes. The last 10 was brutal. I love how much passion Pouliot plays with. He was defending the dirty play on Gionta. It really looked like a four line team to me. Against the best team in the league, I think that says a lot.
ForumGhost
The Habs became too passive towards the end. Gotta love that brutal non-call in the last 2 minutes. They just had to throw that in to remind everyone it was a Chris Lee game.

Ya there were a few non calls. Sharks are slow and get away with a lot of clutch and grab. Lee is the worst ref in the NHL. The clipping call on Plek was gross. His knees were barely bent. He wasn't low at all.

If you are talking about Markov being taken down, gotta agree with you! Loved how there was not outcry by the TSn announcers on that one.
