  1. Past hour
  2. I don't think it's a massive overpayment. The #3 pick could turn out to be an absolute stud.
  3. Ewwww.... not a fan of giving up CC in the deal and still on the wrong end of the 3 for 2
  4. Today
  5. Offsetting penalties would have been better but with 2 minutes to go in the game and both players were being shits, refs should have let it go. Leafs crying about it is nonsense too because Boston got screwed by the refs too. Fun game to watch
  6. That was a junk call. But I’ll take it. The pressure on Toronto come saturday will be huge. Do they still keep Willie out?
  7. The Tavares penalty should of been 2 each, but stick holding is almost never called. You see players tuck the stick under their arm and squeeze because it'll be called a hook 50 times before it's called holding the stick. Tavares did hold McAvoy. Leafs fans are livid on reddit. I don't understand how getting twice the amount of PP's as the other team are the refs against them.
  8. Bruins gotta start Swayman going forward! That Tavares penalty at the end of the third was ridiculous. I’m still laughing about it. Leafs got screwed but they were losing anyway. Bruins, please win on Saturday
  9. As interesting as it may be there is no way Hugo trade CC.
  10. That makes me chuckle, he was cocky and a winner. But, Hasek was the best goalie i can recall. The Jet goalie has surprisingly given up a boatload of goals. Bruins-Leafs 1-1 2-1 Bruins start of early 3rd. go bruins.
  11. Depends on how HuGo evaluate all the pieces of the proposed trade ... you don't get a guaranteed Top 5 pick and a former 9th overall pick without giving up someone/thing that ***MAY*** end up being a better player than what you receive ... it is the nature of a big trade.
  12. Yesterday
  13. No. It was up to Ronald Corey and Houle being idiots and choosing the drunk Tremblay - who had an issue with Roy from the time he was a rookie. Roy actually did try and stay after he cooled down.
  14. I would NEVER even CONSIDER that. That is a massive overpayment, when Caufield may end up being the better player.
  15. I agree with what you said, but in no way understand how it related to my post ... I just looked up the most familiar names with the most games played at each draft position.
  16. I want Roy to win as well. The “incident” did break my heart and I was angry at all sides, including Roy. I let that go when his number was raised. I will never forget 1986 - Roy was beyond incredible and 1993 wasn’t far off. I’m a fan for life
  17. This is indeed an interesting offer. Ducks get their RD and top 6 forward Habs get a replacement for CC and a top player from this draft. Actually seems fair
  18. I do not believe HughGort have any sentimentalism towards the history of the franchise or are any interest in dipping into nepotism. I think that ship is parked on the marketing department and away from hockey decision.
  19. I am rooting for Roy, very unlikely he wins this series, but I am rooting for him. He is a passionate hockey "lifer" and has a very intense coaching style, while showing his deep knowledge-of and respect-for the game in interviews. I think he is an interesting coach to follow.
  20. That is an interesting trade proposal. It certainly gives Anaheim something they are looking for. To get something you have to give something up and CC is certainly a very good piece. This is actually one of the better trade proposals I have seen as it made me think a lot about who is getting the better deal. I think it's pretty fair. Well thought out. I would think both teams want to see how the ping pong balls fall before entertaining something like this.
  21. Mailloux, CC and Winnipeg's first for Zegras and Ducks #1 ... as an opening offer
  22. Not always multiple years. It's not also easy to find teams willing to give up top 4 right handed D in a trade. Unless you are willing to pay a premium.
  23. Being the home team for me, I intended to cheerabout as much as I can for a non hab team. The Demko loss is a bad one.
  24. Seems about 35-40 kids per draft have solid careers (300gms+) https://dobberprospects.com/2020/05/16/nhl-draft-pick-probabilities/
