Within the let's say 3 last drafts (19-20-21), who are the top 10-15 prospects to grab in Dynasty Mode ?

Lafrenière, Byfield, Caufield, Zegras come to mind.

Where would you rank the Perfetti, Raymond, Newhook, Podkolzin ???

The playoffs are almost upon us which means it's time for our annual playoff pool, run through Sportsnet. It's the same format as always, you have a salary cap of 30 points to fill out your 12-player roster. You get to change your roster at the end of the first and second rounds. (I imagine it's a Canada-only pool - I miss the old Sporting News pool that wasn't region-specific - but a fake address gets around that, of course.)

Alexander Barkov - Keep, Trade or Drop

Alexander Barkov has not had a great start to the season, nor have the Florida Panthers. I think if Huberdeau was playing Barkov would be producing consistently. I am hesitant in dropping him as he tends to heat up in the second half of the season. But currently he is doing nothing for my team.

Should I keep Barkov or try to trade him or just drop him?

Unrelated to the HW league, but I didn't want to start a new thread for a simple question. I've had horrible luck picking my starters this year, which 2 should I start tonight: Allen (@ NYR), Biship (vs CGY) or Holtby (@ PHI)?

I finally remembered to renew the annual football pool today. Returning members, check your e-mails. From the way it looks, all teams from last year were automatically renewed so there may not be a registration process to go through. (Let me know if that is the case and if so, just post a quick note here to let me know you're aware your team has been automatically renewed.)

help me with my pool

Hello all,

I was the expansion team in a keeper pool two seasons ago so I started with no stars. We keep 5 players and the only stat that is kept is points. I am having difficulty deciding my final keeper. I have Mackinnon, Drouin, Galchenyuk, Skinner, Neal and Yakupov. I am definitely keeping Mackinnon, Drouin and Galchenyuk. I need to keep two of Skinner, Neal and Yakupov. Skinner is young and has been solid so far in his career. Neal is a scoring machine but is injury prone and now plays with Nashville. Yakupov has a huge upside but hasn't impressed so far in his career and is coming off the devastating sophomore slump. Any advice on who I should keep and who I should drop? Any help would be appreciated.

HWL Looking For More GMs!

So once again our HW-based EHM league is looking for GMs. We're in crunch time right now and these are playoff teams, so GMs with experience are preferred, but it isn't necessary. The trade deadline is passed - the most important thing to worry about is making lines.

Anaheim: This is a powerhouse team. One of the top formations in the league, if not the best. This could be a good team for a newb to control and get some instant playoff experience.

Washington: Another very strong team that should see action in the playoffs. One of the deepest and most fun line ups around.

Boston: This one's a bit more of a challenge as they're a middle-of-the-pack club. Still, they have the talent to make the playoffs in any year, it's mostly a question of finding an active GM.

If anyone's interested, PM me or post it here. (I don't think we still use the applications form from the HWL site?)

If you're worried about your inexperience, we've got plenty of people around who can "mentor" you, or at least give you tips.

Any interest in an NBA pool?

I get asked about this once a year or so as to whether or not we'd be running an NBA pool. We haven't for a long time (since 2004) but would there be interest in doing one this year? If there's enough on board, I'll get one going.
