Yes ... because it would stop there ... the Oilers would never then send someone out to do the same or worse to Suzuki, KK, Toffoli or Price ... but then of course then the Habs could ..........
It could be argued that the Habs would be disadvantaged by being rusty from the week off, but I think they got a gift getting a tired Oilers team on the second night of a back-to-back with travel.
The thing about gifts is that you make sure you accept them and move on. Take the points, put some distance between the team behind you and close the gap with the team ahead of you. I'm glad the Habs got it done.
I'm gonna be a dementia-riddled old man telling my grandkids, "Mete should have been something, they just didn't develop him properly."
Okay, Grandpa. Let's get you back to bed.
Since my call-outs of guys who have been terrible this season seem to be working some magic in this game, let me try another:
Tomas Tatar is a bum...they are nuts to give him powerplay time.
Also, Shea Weber is great at hitting iron, but can't hit the back of the net nearly enough to justify teeing it up for him all the time.
How bout, create offensive opportunities for himself...is basically what Gallagher and many good players do every game.
Shoot and not defer to his wingers, also would be suggested.
