  1. Yeah, it would be nice if people could discuss the end of Shea Weber’s distinguished career without dragging tired and silly old arguments about PK Subban into it. Weber deserves better than that.

  2. Consider what Philly had to do yesterday to free up the rest of the money for this trade. The trade is basically Pick 14, 2022 2nd, 2023 2nd, 2022 7th, Hagg, and Gostisbehere for Ristolainen (who has one year left on his contract). That's a big price to pay.

  4. Price has undergone knee surgery with a recovery period of 10-12 weeks. His hip was also assessed but it was ruled that no surgery for that injury was necessary.

  5. A Commandant amendment: Get ready to denigrate any team that slightly reaches on a player over 6'2", and lose your shit over someone you had going in the 2nd round but falls to the 4th.

  6. Yup He was out for like 2 months and then when he came back didn't look right. He was good in the playoff bublle after that though and good last season under ducharme.

  7. Seems like Drouin might be a good set up guy for Caufield.

  9. You may or my not be correct ... I certainly have no idea ... you may even have some sort of inside information, or perhaps believe that you do ... but IMHO it is inappropriate to speculate about that, or any other specific psychological or mental health condition, being the issue ...I feel those are all very private matters that it is up to Drouin to decide whether or not to share ... all that matters is that (a) he is better and (b) how he performs once he returns to the ice.

  10. Gallagher has expressed his dislike for PK in media interviews that are probably still on-line. He has been very open about , here is a quick compilation: https://theathletic.com/237429/2018/02/11/basu-the-reason-behind-the-trade-that-will-never-die-finally-comes-to-light/ (9:48 minutes in): https://www.tsn.ca/radio/montreal-690/habs-lunch-gallagher-vs-subban-1.996431

  11. Jones will be too expensive.. I like Risto, think he’d fit well. I’m guessing Hamilton signs elsewhere, somewhere down south. Ekholm or OEL would be nice adds but they both shoot left. A guy I think would be perfect is Klingberg out of Dallas.. one year left so maybe they move him.. they just paid big bucks to Miro.

  12. Yeah, a functional Drouin is a decent #6 FW. My take on him is always the same - he's all right, just do not make the mistake of counting on him in any way. A productive and impactful Drouin should be seen as a bonus rather than a norm. Just accept that it is what it is and move forward.

  13. Yes we got screwed and I believe we need to accept it and move on. Bergevin really screwed this one up. Fortunately Bergevin has done really well with most of his other trades.
