Do we really care?
11/7 really doesn't make sense to do. If it did, we'd see other teams using it more frequently; as it is, they only use it if they are forced to by injuries.
Anyway, number of hits is not going to win us the game, the Capitals are bigger anyway. We beat them with speed and deception, or we don't beat them at all.
Keep in mind a few things.
A player is paying taxes to each jurisdiction where games are, so you are only paying 1/2 the taxes in Quebec, so that already reduces the impact.
Good tax planning and investments can make it even closer.
Its never even, but its also not just saying tax rate is 5% different..... 5% of 5 million is 250,000. That's way too simplistic and players will make it much smaller of a difference.
One thing Florida has going for them is that they have a lot of key players that missed time late in the year (ie. Tkachuk, Marchand, Ekblad) who will be well rested. It's a long season so that helps a lot.
The Tampa series isn't over but it's looking good for Florida right now. I will probably find myself cheering for a team that has both Marchand and Tkachuk on it. That doesn't happen often.
Those $%^$%$^& have ONE JOB. One reason for even existing as a franchise. That’s to beat those pusbags from Toronto. And they can’t even do that. Just fold and die already
