It goes back to the McCarron argument though. Scoring goals in the AHL isnt going to show that he is a top 6er in the NHL. But it shows a level of skill in a league that is slower than the NHL.
As fast as the NHL is, this level of skill is needed, even for fourth liners. The skill is needed to make passes, maintain possession, clear pucks, everything that needs to be done with the puck in an NHL game even if its not scoring goals, cause just everything is so fast.
Again, I bet he gets there. I just think he isnt as close as some thought.
