  1. or the playoffs. Briere is a monster in the playoffs. 27 playoffs goals in the past 5 years. (Jagr has 1)
  2. It also depends who we can land and if we are buyer or seller at the deadline.
  3. bad trade off but great to see him defend markov.
  4. Last week I caught Minnesota's shootoot and Zach Parise scored his 34th goals on his 73rd shootout attempts.. wow time flies... 73 attempts already !
  5. Phew ! What a kid this Galchenyuk. Can't wait to see how dominant he'll be once he beefs up.
  6. Pretty exciting line to watch ! Alex's hands are truly magical
  7. I guess his foot was not moving when it touched the puck
  8. DD's future with the Habs hanging on the ref's call. Better not be a goal. That was a horrible shift
  9. 1. Subban // You can't afford to lose the best defenseman in the league 2. Price // You really can't afford to lose your starting goaltender 3. Emelin // just look at the Habs record with or without him in the lineup Those are really the only indispensable Habs. If they get injured for 3 months, we can't replace them. My favorite player is Plekanec, he is very valuable to the Habs. But if he gets injured, I can see Eller taking increased icetime, Briere pinching in on the offense and Bournival and Leblanc on PK. If I have to add other players that can't get injured, I'd add Galchenyuk. He's our allstar on offense for years to come and we don't want to see him sustain another serious injury this early in his career. There's no need to add Pacioretty to the list as he is a wolverine and injuries can't keep him out of the lineup for long. So my 5th would be Markov. Another serious injury would really compromise his career, and he still has good hockey in him.
  10. How come the 4th line ends up with a -3 playing only 7 shifts? And all vs the hot Pominville line? Looks like bad matchups to me.
  11. Wallpaper up ! http://www.habsworld.net/article.php?id=3242 Thanks Del ! Great tribute for a hard working rookie. Hopefully he doesn't get demoted this month. Please no more jinx !
  12. loll Parros would be a cool pick for movember..
  13. Del seems to jinx players he picks though. October was Briere. Didn't turn out well for him. I have nothing against Douglas Murray, but would be a safe pick for November.
  14. Wow.. (Trying to write a comment that doesn't involve the fate of my fantasy hockey team) Surprising news, while he was playing that good. You wouldn't have guessed something like that was going on.
  15. WOuld be nice to call up Thomas now.. bad timing.
  16. Brière has a concussion. Let's hope it's not too severe. Not his 1st one too. This is turning real bad for him with the Habs.
  17. Looking forward to read the answers, especially Colin's question about Leblanc.
  18. This was our first decade. For the next decade, I wish all of us a Stanley Cup! It was the first decade the Habs didn't win a single Cup !! What a shame ! When I look back at the past decade for the Habs, we had some great drafts, but some very bad timing for free agency. The Summer we traded McDonaugh in order to get Gomez in order to attract Gionta and then to convince Cammalleri was a huge disaster. When you think about it, we'd have been better off with McDonaugh instead of ALL the free agents put together. As for HW, it was a great "international project" at first, and evolved better than expected with the contribution of great writers and great fans. It has become a great platform to talk about the Habs and share our passion. I invite all of you to use it as such and contribute to it. We constantly need more writers to contribute to game coverage, editorials and special features, or fans to help us complete various pages on the website. If you want more info on how you can contribute, contact Brian aka dlbalr our chief editor at b.larose@habsworld.net cheers to all
  19. Some good tidbits: Apparently Darren Dietz' favorite player is Marc Bergevin hahah. Way to be nice to your boss and hope for a roster spot lol
  20. Cool, nice milestones and congrats to both ! Bourque with 2 goals tonight. 4-2 win !
  21. I think soon we will see fighters bowing and let their opponent's remove their helmet before going on with the fight to circomvent the 2-min penality. I wonder though if the refs will instead call a unsportsmanlike conduct penalty to both for that.
  22. Barret Jackman won the Calder in 02-03. A stay at home dman can win it. And TInordi is showing a dominating presence thus far. I'm too much excited maybe
