Trade ufa's and RFA you don't want to resign get picks for them. Big name trades would probably be done at the draft or before free agency starts.

Yeah I also remember he did a retool which wasn't needed when you have guys like Price, Weber and Gallagher and petry on your team. Instead of a retool he should of tried to put together a wining team. He wasted 4 good years out of those guys. 4 years ago should of either been a full rebuild in which you trade those guys or you go all in trying to win a cup with those guys.

I want Price to win a cup we wasted the last 5 years of him here in Montreal not trying to win a cup. I hope he goes to Edmonton and wins a few with McDavid.

As long as he doesn't do to price what was done to Lundqvist, I would be okay. Trade Price let him win a cup else were and ride into the sunset as one of the greats to play the game. Don't hold on to him and let him rot through a rebuild like he did with Lundqvist.

I don't think Price is impossible to trade. If we plan on rebuilding he has 4 years left after this year on his contract. So if we eat about 5.5mil of his contract it will come off the books right when our rebuild should be done. Price at 4.5mil a year would be more tradeable then Price at 10mil a year. So for example To Edmonton Price at 4.5mil To Montreal Eating 5.5mil plus a 1st round pick and 2nd round pick for taking back that much of his contract. And Koskinen. But it all depends on Price wanting to leave and wave his NTC.

I agree people need to realize when thing coaching or GM other than the speaking French factor another big factor would have to be the fact they need to understand and use analytics. Gorton said that he is going to use it. So I would think all old school GM/coaching would be out of the running. It's going to be someone young that understands it and uses it.

You don't bring in Roy now as GM after you hired Gorton to run things as VP. If you were to bring in Roy I would of did it as VP let him run the whole thing. But with Gorton heading everything I would bring in someone who understands today's game and understands analytics. Don't think Roy knows what analytics is 😹he's an old school mind.

No his not GM, but if he's on this team on a rebuild he's going to give us more of a chance to win which you don't want on a rebuild. Without him we have a better chance at a 1st overall pick. With him well we're a bubble team picking 15-20. If he doesn't want out try and bring in guys to complement what we have a try for a cup.

I think a rebuild all depends on Price. if he doesn't want to be traded or leave Montreal then you can't rebuild. You got to try and win him a cup. If he's willing to go elsewhere to win a cup, then you do a full 5 year rebuild.

I really would like to see Brodeur, I think he would do a great job.

It's funny when we did our retool some of us wanted a full rebuild which Ment trading Price, Weber, Gallagher, Petry, Danault, Byron all when their trade value was high and we could get good picks and prospects for them even if it Ment eating some of Price and Webers contract and we got ripped for it by people in here who didn't want to go though a rebuild. Now it looks like we're going to go through a full rebuild and we lost Danault for nothing, lost Weber for nothing, and Gallagher, petry, Byron and Price have little trade value and big contracts. We would of been better off 4 years ago then now. Now we got too many guys under expensive long tern contracts. This rebuild is going to be interesting to see what happens.

If Price doesn't want to be traded then you don't rebuild you try to win a cup. You don't rebuild with price on the team.
