  1. Tell that to the team's that have won cup's this way and have drafted and develop elite superstars this way.
  2. This comment/argument makes me realize why Montreal will always be nothing more then a bubble team. Fighting for the last playoff spot and not making it. Always blaming injuries and players having down years.
  3. Ok so if you’re building through the draft , why in the world are we pushing for a playoff spot? We should be pushing for a lottery pick. this is the problem in Montreal and why we will always be nothing more then a bubble team. People want a rebuild yet they don’t want to go through the losing part of a rebuild. Never makes any logic to me.
  4. Yeah but he is still getting paid by LA is he not from the buy out? So maybe he re ups in Montreal for less on a 1 year deal plus team option for a 2nd year.
  5. I had mentioned that next year is the year they need to go in for a cup run. If we can resign Kovy and add a playmaking D to go along with the rookie Romanov, this could be a really good team. I think a package of Byron, lehkonen and Poehling could land us a top LD. When's the last time Montreal had 3 lines that can score on their team? That could happen if Kovalchuk comes back. Tatar/Danault/Kovalchuk Drouin/Domi/Gallagher Suzuki/Kotkaniemi/Armia
  6. So basically what they've been trying the last 2 season 🤔
  7. Well he has had time off this season 😂
  8. Here's a question, What would a package deal of Byron and Poehling bring us back in a trade? Would it get us a top 4 D?
  9. Thats because some of these guys are still kids who should be developing in the AHL.
  10. That's what I said if we can upgrade our dcore and resign kovy this can be a really good team next year.
  11. I think the time for Montreal to go for it is next year. If we can resign Kovy and and a top LD this could be a really good team. We would have 3 really good lines Tatar/Danault/Kovy Drouin/Domi/Gallagher Suzuki/Kotkaniemi/Armia I would look at trading Byron And Lehkonen maybe as a package to see what we could get. But if we fix our Dcore this team could be good next year.
  12. The last 2 years they have done a great job rebuilding the prospects. Which is my point they should be upgrading the team now. Our reset should be over, other wise this is a rebuild.
  13. If Bergevin improves this team in the off season I have no problem with Bergevin being GM. If he stands pat and does nothing again, IE.....blames injuries again then its time for a change at GM.
  14. Could you imagine him with a good team in front of him, where he could just be himself, and not have to be perfect every night.
  15. I have to admit I was wrong about this signing. I was pushing for the tank and the lottery pick. But Kovalchuk looks like he's loving it in Montreal.
  16. Yes I agree as long as you have price and weber on the team you should be looking to build a team around them to help contend and/or win a cup, not build for the future. If you're planning to build for the future then there's no need for a Price or Weber on the team and we should be looking at being a lottery pick team, not a bubble team.
  17. Well the past keeps repeating itself here in Montreal and if we don't change our way of thinking then in 4 years time we will still be a bubble team and going through another reset.
  18. You must really miss that red button dont you.
  19. Why because I don't like losing every year? Because I want people to talk about the habs as a top team? Because I want the habs to be mentioned as cup contenders every year? Because I won't settle for a bubble team full of excuses every year. Which point doesn't make me a fanatic 🤔 I guess around here in your eyes as long as you agree with everything management does that makes you a fanatic fan ????????
  20. If you're a owner of a sports teams those should be your standards. Not this bubble team crap full of excuse we see. I don't understand how people are fine with being a team that almost makes the playoffs every year, instead of a team that should make the playoffs every year.
  21. What does that got to do with what I just posted 🤔
  22. I define wining by being looked at as a top team in the league. Being looked at as a lock to make the playoffs every year. Being looked at as a cup favorite every year. Being a team that everyone hates to play. That's how i define wining. Wining to me isn't being a bubble team every year. Making excuse that injuries cost us the season. Making excuse that players didn't play up to their potential. That everything has to be lined just perfectly for this team to be a playoff team. Thats not wining to me.
  23. The team has been ran the past 10 years the same way he ran it after 93'. The on ice product has been bad the last 10 years. We haven't had a winning team now in the last 4 years , yet Nothing has changed. So if wining brings in more playoff games and more money.....then how come no changes have been made the last 4 years to change it? That tells me Molson doesn't really care about the hockey team as much as he does his Molson 🍺 sales.
  24. The last 10 years what direction has this organization gone since Molson has been back as owner?
  25. I wouldn't say that, it was more when Molson bought the team back, when wining became less important.
