  1. markov rests today and will play tomorrow vs san jose? holy build up this game for me only to be demoralized!
  2. its simply that he wont play back to back nights to start off his return... he and price will play in the tougher match up that is san jose tommorrow.. not to say we should be complacent tonight as anahiem has not lost 8 in a row for 6 years and only twice since '96
  3. incorrect... the break down of the patella tendon to an actual ligament (ligamentization) happens around weeks 8-10. its when the knee is at its most vulnerable post OP.. bone growth around the buttons (screws) inside the femer and fibula happen soon there after. by weeks 32 the knee has been transitioned. his first surgery was a failure as the cadaver (dead person's Achilles tendon) clearly did not take! not to mention his rushing back after 5+ months post OP Andrei Markov's knee will not get any better over the next 3 days.. his atrophy (muscle loss) was back ion's ago as the muscle's memory easily comes back (especially with all the training he's had).. you don't forget how to ride a bike and your muscles dont forget how big they were. his knee cap needs some stability which takes more time (also causes water retention) he was ready to play a month ago most likely after all the testing in Florida was completed. they've waited it out a little longer to make sure and now will insert him in the line up as far away from MTL as possible (similar for LeBlanc who got zero action pre season due to shoulder recovery) in the mean time we've gotten a great look at our defense without him and look for markov to play 15-16 minutes tonight guaranteed all short shifts.. obviously those minutes will increase if we get a boat load of powerplays. he'll be playing 20+ by game 3! welcome back andrei the giant!!! youve been missed
  4. leblanc playing/ showcased in anahiem tonight??? i smell something fishy out west...... and it's not "the calamari"
  5. did anyone think that just maybe he is being showcased tonight and on this road trip in a potential blockbuster with anahiem??? ryan for leblanc(high prospect)/ draft pick/ insert defender here? obviously cap implications restrict this deal but a similar one could be on the cards
  6. when he hurt his knee is irrelevant! his surgery was dec 8th, 2011. so he is still not even 12 months Post OP from his 2nd surgery in a span of 6 months (cadaver now patella tendon).. not to shabby andrei! you are a quick healer!
  7. 18-24 months is the magic number to have a fully integrated knee after reconstruction! he could be back to strenuous activity 8-14months Post OP
  8. the PP will suck until a lefty can quarterback from the left it creates the ideal passing lanes
  9. im hoping for 99%..... he put up like 3 pts in 6 +games last year and 34 in the 45 games upon his return the year prior... like i said before i do believe his minutes need to eased and slowly built up to 20+ minutes.... but if you think he's gonna need 20 games to remember how to play defense or QB a PP then your wrong! you dont forget how to play.....
  10. he wont miss a beat... that talent doesn't forget 10+ years of game play that easily.. by his 3rd shift he'll be firing on all cylinders. he didn't forget how to skate shoot or pass! speaking through personal experience the adjustment is all in game shape/ stamina only not how to play the game. (if anything the forwards need to be ready for crisp end to end passes) he will need time to get his stamina and minutes up to 20+. my guess is 15+ and alot on the PP to start. slowly working his way up to gorges/subban numbers.. Again, he doesnt need to be re-trained on how to play... some inner squad scrimmage's will get the quirks out... with that said a few game situation slappers and wristers to find his shot accuracy will help gorges subban markov campoli emelin weber gill, spacek JM will no doubt experiment and i see a trade deadline move approaching for spacek or campoli diaz/ st. denis sent down
  11. i put him on the right!! but looks like gomez has gone down again!
  12. i still believe gomez plays best when going north south. he has played his best hockey when going up the middle but since last year all i've seen from him is his usual out wide play.. mark my words his first goal will come when he re-grows the balls to go right up the gut and to the net! who better then Cole to remind him of this gionta gomez cole all north/south hockey players thats my line
  13. Agree 110%! I played a full season with my brace... Our first playoff game I forgot it and was forced to play without it cause we had no subs... Needless to say, i haven't worn it since! The only thing that will give him thy confidence is actual game time. He can train for 2 more years but until the games come his confidence will never grow
  14. ahhhh... what does jacques martin really know that i dont?? hes all ready to go my friends. the knee is stable, the muscle is back and bone growth complete.. the only thing that's gonna blow his knee again is another freak accident!! all that's needed now is actual game play so he can see his knee stability when fatigued.... he wont play in carolina philly and pitt.. some strong practices out west and we might see him in SJ or LA. i'd prefer he played his first game on the road before returning home
  15. he shouldnt be un less he's put on fat or muscle... they used his patella and not his hamstring so his stride should not be affected. looks like i was off a week from my projected nov 17-24th return date but if things look good theres an outside chance he plays against the pen's or breaks the ice on that western road swing
  16. im wondering if gomez will be re united tonight with gionta?? i really think the best is yet to come with a gionta--gomez--cole line! and maybe camm--dd-- pacioretty a 3rd line of kosty-- plex-- eller can form an outright dominating "3rd line" in all of the nhl!! tomas plekanec has secretly become montreals long anticipated air to the bob gainey's and guy carbonneau's of the past all he needs is to be knighted by Lord Stanley.... Moen--nikol--white thats how id balance out the lines when healthy and as long as DD and pacioretty continue with chemistry... cole has shown he can carry any one line and combo right now... im starting to think with staal's struggles both times Cole left him its actually Staal who needs Cole to make "him better"!!! its only lunchtime? how long till puck drop??its gonna be high drama tonight!!!
  17. say what you want but a defence that has been playing that well under the extremely watchfully eyes of a gizzzzillion GM's (fans) and you wanna throw in Gill?whos's beena disaster this past week and with a whole season ahead? Gill doesnt need to prove anything right now to this team. Moving forward, to pull any one defender out of the line up after these last four games would be detrimental to their confidence! its a major chance at the big stage to prove that their worthy! you got to give these kids that chance! A drastic failure like the NYI game would mean these guys are truely hit and mis right now.... but a sound performance will go a long way in actually having a vastly rich bundle of depth in the back to play with... does anyone deserve to be out of the line up right now? if JM did that i'd be freaking out... this is a very very big game for weber diaz emelin and st.denis. baptism under fire so they say and i really wanna see what these guys got. Does Emelin finally give us that little bit of presence on the back end against Boston that we've desperately been craving??? our the SWISS "brothers" pushing each other to succeed from a nation slowly growing in hockey power? Are Diaz and Weber that shifty and not to mention that witty back there that its ok to be average in size?? St. Denis?? another prospect?? a sleeper out of know where? the next french canadian in montreal? or just a filler from the A? Josh Gorges as the defensive anchor/leader he's meant to be ?? (instead of gill) AND FINALLY PK the game changer? or the pest?". answers that would NOT be answered if we mess with a defence so raw and green but... with only 3 goals against in 12 periods and playing way over the expectations of people everywhere... BIG BIG GAME FOR CAREY PRICE! im so stoked for tonight... LONG LIVE THE CANADIENS!!!!!
  18. camm Eller AK (eller and AK have been great camm will bring more quality) DD plex max (DD showed us most when with pac) cole gomez gionta (say what you want but if we want this season to turn around gomez needs to come through) moen noki blunden(white) (sorry darche but blunden is bigger and faster and brings more energy when white returns u should be in the press box) L-markov-L-gorges L-emelin -R-subban L-spacek- R-weber L-gill L-diaz R-campoli this is my healthy habs line up! were another 4/5 game win streak away from being back on the right side of the playoff picture
  19. we need to keep AK and if our plans are to let him walk to free agency then we need to trade him for assets... cause AK is a definite asset!
  20. i over shot is return... he should be back in early december
  21. my guess is even longer then december.. probably late january
  22. injury date is irrelevant markov's surgery dec 8th, 2010 full recovery from cadaver reconstruction (dead person's achilles tendon) 6-8 mths gorges & markov's first surgery ( he returned after just over 5 months) full recovery from patella tendon reconstruction (your own knee cap tendon) 10-12 months (markov's 2nd surgery) full recovery from semi-tendinosis reconstruction (your own hamstring tendon) 12-14 months -hamstring is best option (most stable, 150 x stronger then actual acl, not as elasticity) but is a horrible option for athletes as your hamstring becomes suspect because the tendon does not regenerate and compromises your full stride when running -patella is best option for athletes without the option of a cadaver because the hamstring is not put at risk and success rate is great. more then 100 x stronger but even less elasticity -cadaver is what most pro athletes use because it uses none of your own body to fix so athletes wont be liable anywhere else but the knee. recovery time is 6 months because of the "ligamentization" of the tendon and then waiting for bone growth and muscle growth. it is a short term fix usually lasting 10-15 yrs markov's lucky as both tears where clean and there was zero damage done to the knee outside of acl (no bruised bones, meniscus, ligaments or muscle tears) my estimated return date was nov 17 which is a road game prior to saturday night at the bell centre but this delay in florida could put him a further week back so for me it is as early as nov 17- nov 24!
  23. Playoff hockey in October!!! back to back with the bruins and were both tied with 6 points!!! redemption could be oh so sweet for max patches and our Habs......
  24. i definitely think of all these guys its only grabovski who would of fit in really good with this team as his play is fast paced and skilled... PG definitely would want him back.... maybe BG throws mcdonagh NY's way because of the fleecing we pulled on him in the kovy deal... think about fantasy football for a second and if you constantly get burned trading with another team sooner or later you'll stop alex kovalev for absolutely didly squat gomez, pyatt for higgens, valetenko (russia) mcdonagh definetly an evening out deal sather " bob i need mcdonagh back" bob "cant do it glen" sather"WTF man, i gave u kovy for nothing" bob "ok glen,... but you owe me!!" its kind of like charielli tossing burke a bone for the really heavy price he paid for kessel martin: never wanted him fired after 8 games i just questioned his a) thinking on the PP but i guess it was "pearn" b) his use of talent pool c) constant line juggling act... d) motivational tactics when in a slump and pointed out his career stats..... nothing's changed for me after this win except we finally got some bounces (simmonds empty net miss) timely scoring and clutch saves!!!
