  1. Ya, Artukin runs around a little too much. BGL would be nice.
  2. I think if a player who is outgoing and a showboater does something spontanious out of excitement and joy, it should be encouraged. When they do rehearsed things like that, it is a bit silly. I hope he keeps having fun and celebrating in his Ovechkinian fasion, just don't rehearse it.
  3. The true test will be tomorrow. Let's see how he plays when Vinny and Marty come home.
  4. Ya, I forgot to thank cat as well. Thanks for all the effort.
  5. I apreciate anyone who makes a game thread. It takes time. Tanks Kozed, Shanks FanPuck, Merci Spiderman...wherever you are.
  6. He is our best forward with highest +- and highest PPG percentage of 36 points in 42 games. I believe if he was healthy all year, we wouldn't be as low as wwe are now. I truly belive the Habs MUST win the next two games to get their confidence back.
  7. Don't rule out Ottawa. They are ripping it up.
  8. I just looked at the schedule. Between Florida, Carolina, Rangers, Philly, and Pittsburgh, they play each other in some combination for all most every game. There could be so many 3 point games here. Not that I care that much, but I would like to watch Les Boys in at least one series.
  9. The other plus here as that Andre plays better when little bro is in the lineup. When he was called up last year, AK lit it up. Sergei plays with fire too. That will be nice to have. I'm not looking forward to the stupid penalties though.
  10. Plek is a tough call. I would definitely keep Higgins, but at 3rd line money. I would only gamble on Lang if the money was right. Remember, Gainey could get a few draft picks for Plek if some other GM tries to scoop him. Isn't that the rule? Either way, I would only keep one of Plek or Lang, and that would depend on Money and Lang's health. I think Laps is much more suited as a 3rd line centre, so I agree that I would give Chips an honest shot for the 4th line. As far as 1st line, we need to trade for some skill, but not at the cost of PK Subaan. I think we should see how good he can be. I agree with the rest of your comments on who should stay and who should go.
  11. I'm lovin Laps this year. Latendresse does seem to make him better as well. Or vice versa. Whatever it is, they play well together.
  12. So apparantly Price isn't the problem, coaching isn't the problem, so what is the problem? Defense. Worst team in the league.
  13. The only good thing to come out of this season is Lapierre and Latendresse. Very disapointing.
  14. Worst team ijn the NHL since the All Star break. Depressing
  15. Now I am too. Uh oh, the Habs confused play is rubbing off on us at home. Hope I don't blow up the refinery tonight at work. When I'm interviewed, I'll just say it's not my night, and I gotta pull up my socks and quit feeling sorry for myself Wouldn't it be nice if we could just throw out the textbook sports answers for our poor work performance and some jackass would give us millions of dollars for it?
  16. That line has had chemistry when they play together. Tangs is quickly becoming my favourite habs. He can play both wings can't he? I'm happy to see Kosty benched. He needs a kick in the pants. I also think Patches needs to play on an offensive line, or at least with some skilled players. He's gonna be good.
  17. Ya, I guess the wording is correct. Ineffective.
  18. Kozed, I usually agree with you, but your hatred of Koivu is showing itself. The Koivu line was quite good today. I'm not one of these guys who defends Koivu when he plays like crap, but he had a solid game. Him and Tanguay look great together. It is true that Tanguay is the star of that line though. The Plek line was disgusting. Total crap. Everyone is having a great debate over goaltending. I don't see what there is to debate about. Price is very inconsistent right now, and Halak has looked great for quite some time now. Play Halak for a while. However, Price will never get his confidence back if our D can't start playing a tougher game. Our defensive play is sooooo much more of an issue right now than goaltending. I logged on here expecting to see pages of rants about the need for a D coach, and what bums Hammer and Komi are being. BOB, PUT KOMI WITH MARKOV AND LEAVE THE PAIRING ALONE. MESS WITH THE OTHER TWO PAIRS IF YOU WANT.
  19. Plek was horrible on the faceoff tonight. Kovalev was bored and I want the other Kostisyn to play and Andre can sit for a while. Why can't the Koivu line and the Kovalev line play well at the same time? They always take turns. Thank god Tanguay and Lats are back. If we don't sign Tanguay, I will be pissed. He is so good. We should be in 9th place by tomorrow. From 5th to 9th in a week. All because we can't play defense. Istead of finding a bonafide defensive coach, Lever is brought up to take up space. I'm glad Gainey pulled Price. Even though the only real stinker was the Rutuu goal. I sometimes wonder if he doesn't need glasses. The Spezza goal was pretty unbelieveable.
  20. Is it just me, or did Dagostini catch an elbow to the head and then get rewarded with a penalty?
  21. Dude, Emilin was the first fight not the second. He never got one punch in. He got completely destroyed. Total domination from massive undefended uppercuts.
  22. I take the Carbo firing as Carbo refused to pull Price ever. He let him sit there and get destroyed on multiple ocasions. He played grinders on the power play and power play specialists on the PK. He never communicated, now he's gone. That's it. Deal with it. He never made a tactical change when the team had problems. He threw grinders at the problem and it didn't work. I don't care about Koivu. I don't love him or hate him as a player. I have never heard evidence that Koivu was hard to deal with by coaches. It's all created and made up by us. The fans, bloggers and media.
