  1. Did you see fridays Au-dessus de la mêlée? We should resign Eric Fichaud! Did you see Mario Langlois Rene Pothier and Martin Leclerc? Ha ha
  2. OK boys and girls, go get your pucks & water bottles, grab your stick and start practising. Goalies, wear your blocker and catch glove! Have fun! http://rapidshare.de/files/10524333/Kovale...atique.mpg.html :hlogo:
  3. A lack of scouts in Europe?! He was chosen in the 2001 draft, at age 25. He got some international exposure in the Nagano Olympics ('98/ 2GP 1W, 1L, 2.5 GAA, .925 Sv%) and during the world championships (1997-2001). He was chosen goaltender of the year twice in the Suisse Elite league before he got drafted (1999-2000 & 2000-2001).
  4. Pierre McWeirdo, good one.
  5. Cristo will get the start in goal on saturday against the sens. Good luck Cristo, time to get a win. Go Habs go! mathieug AKA mathieu30, damn hackers :hlogo:
  6. "I'm the one who gets the final result but it's totally a team effort, defensively and offensively" -Mathieu Garon http://www2.dailynews.com/sports/ci_3372244 Gotta love this guy, didnt change one bit.
  7. Mikey & Dags http://www.radio-canada.ca/Medianet/CBFT/T...601041800_1.asx
  8. nothing more then a Jeff Hackett!? Haha
  9. True, good goalie, great guy. I had the privilege of meeting him, a real classy guy.
  10. Being a goalie myself 90% is OK. Hey, did you noticed how much Garon improved - technically- since he was playing in Montréal? Trust me on this one: not that much has changed! "I've always thought Mathieu was a good goaltender. I've always said he might have the best legs in the league." -Jeff Hackett, 12/02/2003
  11. We all know what happened when Ribs came back after he got benched in Tampa (25 points in the next 24 games). Lets hope for the same result eh! I'll walk on foot to Lourdes.. Mickey Mouse back in the lineup?! Go Habs go! :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo:
  12. Quick, Mr J. Grahame is on fire, shut out the NY Rangers earlier this week. Let's trade José, Ribs or Dags & Rollie Melanson against John :puke: Grahame and Artyukhin or Timo Helbling. Quick Bob, quick. Grahame is on fire.
  13. José "high glove side B) you shouldn't go down on those shots" Théodore will be in goal tonight. Let's hope he can put that penguins game behind him. Here's hoping we see more of the Zednik/Koivu/Kovalev-line. A win would be nice, but hey, it's a long season.. still many games left to win. Go Habs go! :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo:
  14. Rollie arrived in Montréal for the 97-98 season. Thibault, Moog & Théo (postseason) were on the team that year. Roy's goalie trainer was François Allaire. Firing Melanson would be one dumb move. He's one of the best in the business. Here's a short article I found on Rollie: Marc-André Fleury peut dire merci à Roland Melanson, Mardi 07 octobre 2003 http://www.rds.ca/hockey/chroniques/136033.html I saw Rollie work with Garon in Québec, being a goalie myself, I was really impressed. Gotta keep Melanson. In Bob we trust. :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo:
  15. What's wrong with CJ? Komisarek playing almost 8', Kostitsyn 13' & Ferland 9'12". CJ made a few post game comments: "Our fans deserve better than this." "If we have to make more changes, they'll be for the team, not the individuals." "We're at a stage where these performances are unacceptable" I have to go to work right now but I'm feeling awfull. .. deserve better than this.. :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo:
  16. Kings' Garon named NHL Defensive Player of the Month http://www.nhl.com/news/2006/01/250778.html
  17. Loving the new My NHL. Did you see last nights LA-Dallas game? Great stuff. By the way, did you see who -besides Visnovsky- picked up an assist on the OT winner? You guessed it right. 18 wins, Can’t Won’t Don’t Stop.
  18. Never heard of Bob the builder? :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo:
  19. True, that's what he is. He's doing a good job. It's hard but we have to be patient. :hlogo: In Bob we trust
  20. Zed, Koivu & Kovalev will be reunited. "It felt good to be back together, but I don't know if the coach will keep us like that or try to balance the lines a bit" -Saku Koivu Koivu needs 1 assist to reach a personal milestone: 300 career assists. Bonk & Begin are doubtful. Let's start 2006 on a high note. Go Habs go! :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo:
  21. OK, we shouldn't do this because team A or B has succes doing it. It's OK to stand out from the crowd. Maybe I'm biased because I played on a similar team. As a junior I played for a team made up of players from the same province. We spoke french as well -it could have been chinese, japanese or portuguese but it was french- and none of the other teams did. It's difficult to describe the feeling of playing for that team. We definitely weren't the most talented team, but we beat some pretty good teams to win a championship. We were a team. I have never seen a team like that and I played on lots of teams over 20+ seasons. We were proud to play on that team. Proud! A cohesion difficult to explain, something you have to experience yourself.. Maybe it has something to do with the players who played for the team, good characters, but maybe a small part of it was our heritage. Our band. Maybe it had something to do with our love for the game, amateurs, you know. Proud. I see something of that in Steve Begin, but Chris Higgins -the US native- seems to have that as well, heck, I'm just dreaming out loud. I know it's not gonna happen. :que: :ghg: :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo:
  22. Nostalgie? The team was established in 1909 as a French-Canadian hockey team. The team will be more appealing, more recognizable. The potential impact.. Oh, heck, I'm just dreaming out loud.. :que: :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo:

Moi j'dit qu'on dois changer. 1/3 of our team are of French-Canadian descent. So here's what I'm suggesting: Mr Bob, trade for "Flying Frenchmen". I'm not saying 90+% of the team has to be french canadian, around 70% would be nice :que: Ramzi Abid Serge Aubin Marc-Andre Bergeron Patrice Bergeron Martin Biron Pierre-Marc Bouchard Daniel Briere Sebastian Caron Frederic Cassivi Marc Chouinard Alexandre Daigle Mathieu Darche Eric Daze Marc Denis Jason Doig J.P. 24. Yep they dropped the gloves during practice. The two were serious as they traded jabs with their sticks before they started throwing punches. "I guess I started it," Higgins said. "I gave him a little slash and then he cross-checked me and, if I hadn't given him another shot, it would have ended there." "These things happen in hockey all the time," said Komisarek, who appeared to be embarrassed by the incident. "We were both working hard and things got a bit out of hand." http://www.canada.com/topics/sports/hockey...2d-517757e2cf8d
