This isn't that bad a thing for the Pens...one more season in the toilet equals another high draft pick. They'll be stacked with talent for the 2008 season, when Malkin will be free to join them.

I have waited for him to put together a start-to-finish season playing at his best for so many years that I'm pretty much convinced it's never going to happen. I'm hoping that having to compete for the ice time he's normally accustomed to with the Kovalev line will light a fire under his ass this season.

Great breakdown of the tax situation, ADP. I remember during the free agent period, some people here were arguing that the higher taxes weren't a legit reason for some UFAs not wanting to come to Montreal. Perhaps you have opened their eyes to just how bad the taxes are.
