So, according to tsn ice chips, Kovalev isn't in the line-up tonight with an upper-body injury...any chance there is a deal in the works for kovy.....

Yeah i would hate to give up Dandys recent d play. Bottom line is that we're in tough situation. I guess you gotta dance with your date, so throw em out there, play hard, and hope for the best.

What happens if we move dandy up to forward and bring in simpson (Downy out)? Am I the only one sick of Bulis coughing up the puck and not taking a hit. I know there are other players who arn't living up, but Bulis is really annoying me. That's neither here nor there now. We need to play smart and play hard. Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to single you out or be inflammatory, but what does a playoff series from 10 years ago have to do with anything that is going on now with this years team in this years playoffs. Let's hope that the boys are professional enough to realize that a 2-0 series lead does not mean that the series is over; not even close. Go Habs Go

A few points: We did give up a ton of shots 1st game, we have to stop that, but they were not quality chances. Even the biased 'Canes announcers said the play was not reflected in shot total. We did finally show some killer instict. We didn't just sit back on a 2 goal lead. We need good team defense to support our D (3rd guy high). This also gives our D the opportunity to step up early on the 'Cane rush, preventing opportunities to get beat by their speed. Gonna be tough game to win but we can do it. 'Canes will come out flying again, as last time first 5-10 minutes will be key. No panic if they score early. Go Habs Go

Glad to hear him say that. We need to play with confidence but not overconfident. Everything looked great but let's try to cut down on the shots allowed, I know they were not all quality shots, but still too many. I'm glad to see we didn't sit back with the lead, have to do that again, play 60 full minutes. Go Habs Go

love the idea of putting zed back up front and love the idea of putting ryder with ribeiro and kovy It is going to be a very tough series, but if the boys play with confidence in front of Huet, with good team D, and a good aggressive (keep that 3rd guy high) forecheck, it is a series that can be won. let me say that i hope i'm wrong about this, but i just don't see the Murray on the 2nd line as a good idea. I fear he'll look lost out there with Kov and Ribs. The one thing that agitates me about Bob is how often he "tweaks" the line when things seem to be sailing smoothly. Now, with that said, what can do you do with Zed when he's not performing. I guess you let him continue to try to play through or you send to the press box. Like i said I hope I'm wrong and Murray pots 5. Thanks for the vent.
