  1. w0w, I didnt think that would count, but watching the replay A.O. definitely didnt kick it in.
  2. great link fromage. The Mikhail Grabovski is a fruit cake gallery rox.
  3. I'm talking aboot Carbo out clubbing it up since he has been the coach, not back in his playing days. Also it isnt a recent thing since they started sucking hard either. The Habs poor play lately isnt why Carbo has been seen out clubbing alot. Carbos been doing it for a while, even at the beginning of the season when they were winning.
  4. I heard aboot Carbo clubbing it up several months ago though, so its not like its a new thing.
  5. Ironically I've heard a Habs partying it up story but it didnt invole any of the players. A friend of mine here in town has a sister that dates a fairly wealthy guy from Montreal and he apparently says that he often sees Carbo out at the high end bars in Montreal.
  6. I've never heard that rumour aboot any Habs players though. There are other rumours of the same thing. Lindros apparently banged Brind'Amors wife, thats why the Flyers beat him up and Desjardins ripped the C of his jersey. Clarke thought Lindros was better and thats who they kept but the entire team disagreed with that decision. Recently I heard same rumour that Nolan was banging 1 of his players wives when he was in Buffalo. Makes sense though, I could never figure out why a team would fire the coach after he won coach of the year. I'm left wondering if Mogilny was there at that time. Wouldnt that be funny, poor guy. The Corson Mogilny story though I am fairly certain is true. Quinns comments made no sense, unless the rumour is true. My ex roomate told me about it and I know he was a close source to the Leafs. He knows all of them and they are all clients of his and he told me thats what he over heard so I beleive him for sure. iirc Tuckers wife apparently told Mogilny what happened because she didnt think it was right what her brother was doing.
  7. Whats the primary lead up to a 1 timer? Could it be that if you shoot left and somebody to your right lightly slides the puck in your direction, and the recieving player cocks back his stick and waits for the puck to come close, and when it does they usually tee right off on it. AKosts never cocks back his stick and waits for these pases, he just receives the pass on his stick. In these situations they arent passes, they are lead up to his 1 timer, but he never seems to figure that out.
  8. How often do we get to see AKosts killer 1 timer? Once every 4 or 5 games? Almost 9 out of 10 times he is softly passed the puck he recieves "a pass" and all 10 of the 10 times its not intended to be a pass. AKosts always seems surprised when he's lightly passed the puck and he literally looks like he doesnt know what to do with it when lighly passed the puck. Trust me, thats a problem. He never seems ready for it. AKosts should be doing at least one 1 timer a game, probably more, he could easily do 3 a game. He could be doing 12-15 1 timers on a 4-5 game span instead of just the 1 he seems to be doing. What do you think would be better? more, or less?
  9. I'm starting to worry that the Habs are turning into the Coyotes with regards to the people in charge and the nepotism like effects of them bringing in all of their old buddies. The only good thing I can think of from this trade is that Bob had previous success in poaching a player that Holland didnt think was good enough for his team. With only 4 G's he should be able to double his total this year. Either way I cant wait to hear them say Maaaathieeeeeeew Schneiiiiiiiiiiideeeuuuurrr in a thick French accent again. I always loved hearing that over the loud speakers at the Forum.
  10. Again though that goes back to my: What the hell are they practicing question. AKosts on the PP looks useless and he never seems to clue in that a soft pass to him when he's at te point is a lead up to a 1 timer. AKosts always reciever "a pass" rather than tee off on them. It clearly looks like ot me that AKosts has never practiced doing 1 timers from the point in PP situations. How can this be possible at this point in the season?
  11. Hatred of Toronto is probably a prerequisite. Hatred of Toronto is a determining factor for a lot of Habs fans in Canada. Like people mentioned in the other thread most people living in northern Ontario in rural areas are Habs fans and the reason for that is that they hate Toronto. Almost 1 in 6 Canadians live in T.O. so politically T.O.'s population gets to make a lot of descisions that effect the entire country. ex people in T.O. have never seen a bear so they oppose a spring bear hunt and people who live in rural norther places end up with bear sanctuaries in their back yards becasue if it. Age is another determining factor. Before 1967 there was only 2 Canadian teams so a lot of older people in rural areas all over Canada liked the Habs over the Leafs generally for the same reason I said above. Heritage is another important factor of preference. There are tonnes of French people all over Canada even though the majority of them dont consider themselves French because they cant speak the language and they are so far removed from their French heritage that now they are now only French by their last name. None of these are required to be a Habs fan, but they are determining factors of why 1 chooses the Habs over the Leafs, or the newer more local teams.
  12. I say every one of ya's is wrong. It think the # of Habs fans inside and outside of Quebec is even. Obviously it wont be exactly even, but I beleive it would be really close and not a difference worth arguing over.
  13. I fail to understand the context of how you are using that expression because I used the same expression in saying they shouldnt play together. I think its silly to put 2 players with the best shots on the team on the same line because half the time they will be passing to each other wasting 1 of their shooting talents. Makes more sense to split them up and have high assist guys on 2 lines passing to the snipers instead of your best 2 snipers passing to each other.
  14. I've been saying reunite Higgs Plex AKosts now for 2 years. AKosts should never play with Kovy. I've been saying that for a long time now too and I actually found a blog recently where a guy posted actual proof of it. Unfortunately Tangs return will help be he isnt the solution. There are too many problems with the team for any 1 player to solve.
  15. Kosto looks like a wizards because he is willing to go into the corner to get the puck and pass to the guy doing nothing who is open even though Kosto knows he will be body checked Kosto will do it anyway. The number of Euros in the NHL that are willing to take a hit to make a play isnt very high. Number of Euros on the Habs: high. Its a physical game and you need to be tough and the majority of Euros are finess over braun style players. When Euros are off their game they are usually invisable. Wen North Americans are off their game they are usually at least hitting. I'm starting to strongly beleive that it is Carbos fault. There seems to be many semi basic problems with the team to blame it on the entire team. The Habs team has got better and better over the recent years and I have no doubt that if this team was the Julien or Therriens Habs they would be in 1st. Yet both of their lesser talented Habs teams went farther than the more talented Carbos team. Did you see lil AK's rocket 1 timer goal? Why cant he do that on a PP? Seriously when you watch him on the PP in the spot its like he's never done it before. That leads me to wondering: what the hell does Carbo have them doing when are they practicing? It sure doesnt look like lil AK has been practicing 1 timers when on the PP. Every time somebody sends him a 1 timer setup he just recieves a pass. Its so frustrating because he's got such a great 1 timer and it doesnt take this many games to figure out to do a 1 timer when passed the puck at the point on a PP. Well unless you never practice it.
  16. I'm just talking aboot the principal though. It'd be like a manger that doesnt know to relegate tasks or an accountant that doesnt understand how to subtract. Sure one might suck at subtraction but they at least know when you subtract its the differenc of the 2 numbers.
  17. Jeebus, Hamrlik doesnt even look like he knows your allowed to block passes.
  18. It might have been a bad line change but Markov and Gorges were both in the way of the shot, down on the ice and both decided to immitate Komi or something and did the downwards facing dog and prop themselves up off the ice and let the puck go right by underneath them. I'm sure Halak was shocked that the puck made it to him. Its quite clear that none of the Habs know the basic fundamentals of why or how to block shots. I find that mind boggling since their coach was allegedly 1 of the best shot blockers in his time.
  19. I dont understand how that 3rd goal happened. It definitley wasnt Halaks fault. Markov and Gorges were both between the shooter and the net and were both down on the ice and somehow neither of them blocked it.
  20. wow, Kovalev took a skate to his chin. Damn, Markov and Gorges useless on Vans 3rd goal.
  21. hahaha, did you read the Van players lips when BGL came over? Brisbois has been great lately defending his goalie. Halak got slashed pretty good on that play.
  22. Whats with the insistance of playing Higgs at centre? I'm pretty sure I have never seen the Habs win a game with Higgs playing centre. Not one. Remember the Bruins series? Almost lost the series and they lost every single game Higgs played centre. He cant do it.
  23. w00t w00t, Koivu, way to go Kosto Ironically i was just aboot to say wtf isnt Kosto on Laps line, but i guess somebody has to work on Koivus line.
  24. I dont get it. Carbo in known for being 1 of the best shot blockers in his time. Did he not know how to do it? None of the Habs seem to know. All the Habs seem to know is how to screen their own goalie.
