The Caps are a much better team, plain and simple. More talent AND more heart. The only reasons this serie's not over yet : Lundquist and Théodore. I hope Varlamov won't falter once he face a team with an actual offense. -
Carey Price 7min clip on www.tsn.ca, Comments?
Jean replied to HabsWEST's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
I think the fans are perfectly justified in booing when they're not getting their money worth because the team play like crap. Those guys are paid million$ to play a frikkin game so I cant say I have much sympathy when their poor feelings are hurt. Granted, Price is far from the sole guy responsible for the 2nd half and playoff debacle, but he do have one of the worst save %age in the entire league since the all star break. His pitful accomplishements leave him no space to get arrogant with the fans. -

The reason why I want to see Gainey fired is because he refuse to admit his mistake. Price is his boy and can do no wrong, and his stubborness to always put him in nets have cost the Habs 2 game out of 3 in this serie. Making a mistake once is fine. Repeating the same mistake over and over and over is not. -

i'm happy with how the team - minus Price and Plekanec - is playing. At least the Bruins won't win in 4-5 if they keep it up. -

OMG Théodore is horrible! The Caps are ridiculously outplaying the Rangers yet they're loosing 3-1 before pretty boy Théo cant stop a beach ball. -

Level of excitement about the upcoming playoffs?
Jean replied to alexstream's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
If we only speak about the Habs, 6-7 at most. I know a win is unlikely, but if Théodore could pull it off maybe this edition can too... As long as they dont get humiliated like the Sens did last year I think i'l find something to be positive about. The Bruins are plain better at every position so it's gonna be a really uphill battle. If we speak about the playoff in general tough i'm a 10. All matchups are great and I have a favourite in almost every serie (exceptions being NJD/CAR, which I both want to loose, and DET/CBJ, I dont mind who wins that one) -

All the matchups looks great! I'm really looking forward to this season's playoffs. I'll be watching 2 games a night starting tomorrow Sucks Philly/Pit and NYR/WSH plays at the same time, I'm really interested in both. -

Me too. Thats mostly why he got traded too, IMHO.

Guess it's destiny we meet them again, eh. Just like Batman vs Joker, Habs-Bruins is a battle that will never ends. I say this will be last year in reverse : Everybody will expect the Bruins to dominate the Habs, but the Habs will surprinsgly take them to game 7 and will really make them EARN the victory.

Which goalie would YOU go with in the playoffs?
Jean replied to rafikz's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
Personally I have more confidence in Halak but we all know it's gonna be Price in the nets. Halak is a stable B. He won't steal you games, but he wont make you loose either. Price is all over the map. When he's awesome he's really above Halak, bu in his downtimes he's among the worst goalies in the league. He varies in beetween A and E all the time. The preferential treatment being given to Price piss me off TBH. He's Gainey's boy and can do no wrong. That's the one single thing I don't like about our GM/coach. I for one will not blame Halak when he gets tired of the double standard and GTFO of the Habs organisation. -

Price is goddamn horrible, but you don't deserve to win anyway when the 4th line is the only one doing anything offensively. With Halak in that game would be 1-1 tough. -

Man, many used to think Dandenault time in MTL was near over, but aint we glad he's here now! Price looks very shaky out they're. Frankly I'd feel better if Halak was in net. Price can either be wonderful or atrocious.. Halak, IMO, offer much more stable performances. Halak's best is not as good as Price, but he never get as bad either. -

Huge game is huge. I really don't expect a lot of goals in this game. I predict a 2-1 win for the Habs. -
I bought myself a Toyoto Corolla CE 2009. 0% interest for 3 years. The insane resale value is what sold me on the car.

This season serie sure is weird.. 3-3 in the games, and ALL of them were incredibly one sided. Say what you want about them, but games against the Leafs are never, ever boring. -
His head did hit the board first thing. Thats whats worries me the most about ths hit. Craposki is such a punk. I hope somebody kick his punk ass soon
