  1. At least this game is interesting. The BooBoo some are referring about has happened to othe Habs "D" this year so it is not fair to ship him out...
  2. Hahaha you are funny. Kovalev is a floater and I can tell by your name that your Kovalev Blinders are on. Kovalev has done NOTHING since last year(And that was a one year wonder at that). You conviently forgot his A$$ ice time evertime he flopped like Ribero. This was a weak team he played against and looked as ordinary as the mediocre players on the opposing team. You like weak players fine, just don't try to dismiss my observations with your rhetorical nonsense. Did he score? Did the team win? Not tyring to be mean, but your post was one of the funniest things I have read in a long time; which deserved a response.
  3. Lets see, every montreal player was at NYI blueline and Price was gone from the net. Hmmmm thanks for helping out the rookie in his own end as he puts it in his own net. Anyone that lays the entire blame for this loss on a gaff by a young defenceman obviously looks for a scapegoat. My scapegoats will always be poorly coached plays (Under Carbo Habs have no plays) and overpaid Stars (In Kovalevs head he is a legend in his own mind). Montreal fans always wonder why nobody wants to play there, and they can just blame themselves. I include myself in this catagory as I did not, still don't, and never will like that soft Kovalev character that spends 4 minutes per game on his A$$ trying to draw a penalty. With the money he is paid, he should be a leader, not a Zamboni!
  4. You summed up my thoughts. Twice Kovalev gave up the puck and made no effort to look what he was doing at the end of the game. Guess he does not want another contract with the Habs.....
  5. VICTORY OH VICTORY!!!! The Habs are the greatest team ever........................the sun will rise in the morning the birds will be chirping and happy faces will be on happy Habby fans all day. Well that is until the next game. Winning ugly is a good thing; unfortunately I still see no offensive plays just player creativity with a few lucky bounces. But I digress from the star of my post.... VICTORY OH VICTORY!!!
  6. Habs season looks like it is going to be a long one.....
  7. Hmmmm.. some thoughts that one may ponder: Price must hate having that constant sunburn on the back of his neck from all the goals. Kovalev is writing a book " Professional NHL Invisibility Techniques" BGL will issue a press release as he is a scorer now. RCMP is out looking for Montreal's Defenseman as they went missing a few weeks ago. Leafs will beat Edmonton tonight and be within 2 points of Habs. (3 - 2 Leafs at this posting) No, nothing to worry about No. Not coaches fault, Not Players fault, nope.... I BLAME HABSWORLD>>>> You are all fired.....
  8. Since I come back to this site to read the excellent articles on the front page; I take a look into the forums here a few times to see if anything is new. This discussion in this thread is interesting in that a few people have finally seen the Habs worst problem. Coaching! As much as I like all the guys they hired, I find Montreal to be a poorly coached team. There are NO offensive plays, and too much dropping back to screen the goalies on defense. The defenceman have no breakout plays and cough up the puck constantly behind the net. Brisbois would not make a junior B team yet I see his constant cough ups game after game. I have ZERO confidence in this coaching staff as the team and coaches are horrible defensively. If this continues the mighty Leafs( :puke: ) will pass the Habs in the standings. The only person I can say I am mad at is me. New Widescreen TV, RDS subscription and habs enthusiasm to watch a season of one good game so far. What the L was I thinking? Well back to exile with me.......
  9. (I had typed out a lengthy response to your attack but just deleted it ) All I will say is I am gone from this board forever. Some posters really have to learn what manners are before typing away as a brave soldiers hiding behind a keyboard. I know nobody cares so carry on with your personal vendettas to drive members out. P.S. anyone rebuttle to this post; you will be the only ones reading it because that sound of silence is that of members who will not return, like me that just don't care any longer........
  10. Gang, FYI: GM Fletcher was on Fan590 today and said he never talked to the Rangers. He delt the Exclusive rights to Montreal. He asked the Fan590 guys what part of Exclusive the media does not understand. Fletcher is an honest honourable GM who respects his peers. OK, gotta go. Peace..............
  11. Outside of Kovalev showing up last year during the season the trade didnt impress me. Hopefully he shows up this year then the trade will be a steal for the Habs. ( I never get giddy over one-year-wonders)
  12. Leafs are shedding salary. Grabs would be ok to lose or next years second round. If Habs get Sundin and keep next years first, BONUS!
  13. I voted Montreal should keep the 25th pick. Calgary got a very good player at that spot. HOWEVER.... I changed my mind as Tanguay said he was glad to be a Habs. He removed his no trade to go to the Habs, and is looking at an extension. I sure hope the BullSh.t French Media leave this guy alone as he wants to be a Habs and is not an over the hill useless player looking to retire like the type Leafs trade for. This is not a 1 year rental which changed my mind on the trade. Bob Gainey made the first Excellent trade for our Habs and now I am pleased. (I can admit when I am wrong)
  14. saskhab I really like your posts because you really add so much interesting information. I have two questions. 1) NHLnumbers.com says Habs cap hit with Mr. Tang is $42.569 million, where did you get your #'s from? http://www.nhlnumbers.com 2) You have guys on the roster which play for bulldogs, whats up with those guys? Thanks -Jeff
  15. Hey Fanpuck thanks for letting me know about this. I could not find it on the site and their search did not help. I like the unexpected and this takes the thrill out of hiring good scouts and having hit and miss drafting. It was the very reason I did not join other leagues... Oh well, I stick to applying for a Zamboni driver or assistant GM job.
  16. He will keep the pick. Montreal needs centers and goalies to start stocking the system again. One thing I trust now is the Habs scouting and picks in drafts.
  17. I looked and noticed it was not posted here and Angelo was widely talked about before he was drafted. This is the third time someone has been rude about a news item. I must have bad breath or something as appalling. That is if you meant to be rude.... The date of the article was June 18th; and you forget some of us live in the centre of The Leaf Universe so anything happening in Quebec is never reported here. I expect The Stupid Network(TSN) will report this by September and it will be at the end of a telecast. Me thinks I will take a time out from this board for a while since I have many hobbies to catch up on. Not expecting gainey to do anything draft day except pick a centre at #25 so see everyone in September.
  18. Nah! Fellow Colorado Avalanche fans are outstanding hockey people. I am going to wait a bit before applying as I did try to join one league but backed out (Really had no clue what to do at the time) and decided to discover EHM on my own. Funny thing, trying to make trades with a computer is frustrating as I always have to give up my best players to get the prospects I want. Grrr.... rotten cheating program. How do you guys do scouting in EHM as league? If for instance I wanted to scout prospects or a team, would my scouts do this on a SIM cycles like it does if you play the game by yourself? Strong scouting is the most important feature for me in EHM as I have actually built a team with strong scouting and exceptional young talent. (1st, 2nd years last place) third year Stanley Cup finals with the right trades... woohoo.... Just wondering.
  19. There was a time when I would have argued with you about being a game hog, but now I just play a couple. The only addition this year is I put EHM on my notebook, had to correct the buggy EHM and have simmed 5 seasons. Waiting for sickly parents (Stroke, Heart Attack, skin cancer) in hospitals, doctors ofices, specialists etc... I have found lots of time to SIM. I should apply to HWL to be a simmer or zamboni driver
  20. He had a good year for the Spitfires 34 goals and 33 assists. He is the type of player that should be available if Defenseman drafting is crazy early on.
  21. LINK 1) The first faceoff of a power play in the defending zone of the team that committed the foul. 2) "Any contact between opposing players while pursuing the puck on an icing must be for the sole purpose of playing the puck and not for eliminating the opponent from playing the puck. Unnecessary or dangerous contact could result in penalties being assessed to the offending player." 3) If a puck is shot off the goal frame, goal post or crossbar, the subsequent faceoff will remain in the end zone where the puck went out of play. There is more about goalie equipment.....
  22. Pierre, how can a smart guy like you talk so negatively about yourself. You probably know more about government than anyone I know. I added firefox 3.0 tonight and really like it. I absolutely hate the same thing fanpuck hates and now trying to correct the problem. *********************UPDATE**************************** Fanpuck - Try this site for the address bar change: LINK Basically type about:config in the address bar. Look for browser.urlbar.maxRichResults = 12 Change the 12 to 0 I have my address bar back!
  23. So everyone thinks all these defenseman will make the NHL? Hmmmm.... Optimism is a good thing and I hope you guys are right. :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo:
  24. Well Angelo made it to Montreal, sort of.....Montreal Juniors that is. LINK
