Patrick....Patrick....Patrick ! I respect Patrick Roy immensely as a player, if you love hockey and the Habs you have to, but when will this man learn to keep his damn mouth shut ! Even if the comment was very flippant, Roy lacks couth on the most basic level and we all know it. To say that Lats is there because he is a Francophone is an immature cheap shot that seems to thankfully missed hitting him. For fun and slight amusement a friend of mine and I bet on all Habs vs Leafs games. He is a true Toronto fan as most of my friends are. We have been doing this for some time and quite frankly I'm running out of ideas. Things we have done so far are.....he has bought dinner, worn a bright red :hlogo: tie at work, had his car outfitted with a Habs flag and decals, and had to end every sentence with "Habs rule" for an entire day. I have had my car decorated in blue and white, had to wear a Leafs scarf with my gown at a charity gala and colour my blonde hair brown (this was my least favourite !) Oh and just for fun because the Habs lost a game and I was a little ticked at his gloating, I put a Montreal Candiens license plate cover on HIS car ......He didn't notice for two weks ! ...lmao Help us keep the tradition alive and give me any ideas you can think of. Please keep in mind that I may have to do them, I didn't think that part through when I said I'd colour my hair dark ....lol

In "theory" I understand what you are saying. But let us be realistic here, a clear cut defination of human rights and how they are protected does not exist, never has and unfortunately never will. WHY ? Because that in fact is the world we live in, that is the world we have collectively created. People aren't the same and to say that they should be treated the same is ridiculous. What does "on Sadam's case" mean exactly ? I think you missed my point on what I was saying as far as who protected the rights of the victims. The fact that lives were frivolously taken at will or whim was more my point. And why can't things be determined on a morality scale here ...if there were ever a situation to make a moral issue about something then this has got to be it. Things can be very skewed in the eyes of the law. Things can be misrepresented. Sometimes wrong is just wrong !

Comedians offend...that is in fact what makes it funny. You referenced "Talking to Americans" which I have personally watched for several years, it makes fun of both the stereotypes of Canadians and the ignorance of Americans that fuels the stereotypes. It is hilarious ! There are things about the citizens of each country that makes us unique to that country and also give ammunition to comedians from other countries .... Live, love ...LAUGH !

I get to go to lots of movies unfortunately they are all in the "Cars", "Monster House" and "The Wild" genre .....

I wonder how many "human rights" were "respected" on his countless victims. The fact that he was allowed a trial of any sort, no matter how corrupt, is in my opinion beyond what he deserved. How many died at his hands ?..... where is the line drawn. Who protected and preserved their "human rights", it may not be in the eyes of our way the best defence, or the best trial. But why does his life deserve more than given to his victims ? It is his time to be punished for what he has done and condoned. The punishment should fit the crime.

Unfortunately living close to Toronto, anywhere you may go out with friends to watch a game, the game is always the Leafs...always always always ! So I was forced to watch the blue et blanc win last night. It always makes me angry, not sure why. Anyone else get nauceous at the sight of Tucker and McCabe ?

I agree that you don't have to like all the players on the roster, but you do have to love the team and all that it encompasses, which it is apparent that you do. However I disagree with the statement that all the players have to be leaders. It's just not possible. That is in fact not the way the world works, there are hierarchies in all facets of life. Simply put we all look to the alpha male to determine how a situation will play out....now I'm not saying that he is the be all to end all, not even close. But he is our captain and that alone warrants a certain amount of respect. The amount of heart and soul you see from him as a player and our captain is obvioulsy a personal opinion. I agree Koivu is no Rocket, no Cournoyer and no Lafleur. But to deny him what he has earned is a shame. I am curious as to what your opinion is on Lafleur's comments about Kovalev. Since you noted Lafleur then I would assume you respect him as a player, his opinion of Kovalev being ruled by whims is quite strong.

Now we have a few great young ones as well.... Kaka, Gourcuff, Gilardino. Now lets face it the Rossoneri have had struggles but they are in fact MILAN !

You can't equate stats with a good Captain. Since when was that the primary factor ? It has already been said that Koivu can unmistakeningly hold his own..... maybe we should try and be supportive of all of the Habs. Why the bashing on Saku ?

It's the manner in which the team gets the extra point..... it is seemingly done for economics rather than for the sport.
