ya I think thats accurate. only Dahlin is ready now, but I also think that if we could land in 2-3 this team would bring that player in next year. The development path on this team for high end players does not run through laval, so if those players are too good for Junior hockey then learning with the big club is the best way to go. I wish it weren't so but until Laval has a coaching change its the best way to handle the youngsters. It would be amazing if we could land another top 10 pick for Pacioretty, but that is just a pipe dream. we would be able to remake our team within 2-3 years.

I actually think that even with the signing of Tavares we would still be one of the youngest teams in the l league. I get that our 3 best players would be aging but with some big prime years left.

Watching all these teams sign players to entry level contracts really drives home the terrible drafting we have done in the last few seasons. We we literally have 0 high impact players in the pipeline

Ya just listening to it now. It is interesting its too bad that Carbo doesn’t have any management experience. Sounds like he would make a good GM. Actually You know what.....I never thought I would ever say this, but I bet that Pierre Maguire would make a very good GM. I listen to TSN Montreal radio all the time and he certainly seems to know what he is talking about most of the time.

Ya at the draft Talent trumps everything else. You pick the most talented player.....period. If that is a position that you need then all the better. in this draft if we get a 3-6 overall pick you just take the best winger that is left on the board. If we could get another 1st rounder in the teens it would be great

If I remember correctly Petry played lights out good for a small stretch last year around this time, And we were all saying wow this guy is great! Then he he went back to his usual uninspired play for the last 30ish games of the season. MB should be shopping him right now. Maybe add him to a package involving Pacioretty to get a primo center prospect.
