  1. Not sure, but he was invited the last few camps....why not now?

    Lucky dog.

I have to work or I'd be there too.

    I love that building.

work? haha the habs are a fulltime job... shouldnt be passing up the chance to see camp

medicals and conditioning tests tommorow at the bell centre, then the fun starts friday.... going to be interesting

  2. I agree, but at the same time none of these guys are a real threat when it comes to a heavy weight. Komi just plain and simply is not a fighter nor do we want him to feel like he needs to be. Boullion can but doesn't really like it (fighting), Kosto got beat-up in every You Tube clip I saw, Begin is probably the toughest of the bunch but won't clean win too many scraps, Smolinski? Not really, Laps.....he can irritate but I haven't seen him fight yet, there is probably a reason for that. If he tries to mess with crosby this year he will have to answer to George.....might not end good, I hope I'm wrong.

So yes the team needs to be tough all the way around, but in order to get really tough all the way around we need that one guy who on most nights when necessary will destroy the other teams big gun. This year will be the worst of the past 3 years. The instigator rule has changed in favor of the fighter and guys like crosby are getting policemen. For the habs that spells trouble.

We need a beefcake to bring the toughness out of guys like Komi, Laps, Begin etc or we are going to get worked. The habs are not as tough as we all would like them to be. I hope Gainey and Carbs are not dismissing this.

hopefully we will be a team that sticks up for one another.... when a situation arrives knowone is backing away ya know. as for crosby and his little buddies we aint worried

  3. As much as Huet has been important for the Habs the last couple of years, I would like to see Price and Halak in Montreal whether it be at the start or later in the season. With Huet being unrestricted at the end of the year, i think it would be in the Habs best interests to trade him once the market dictates. Package him along with some others would be great. Might as well throw Price into the fire, as he has shown at every level he prospers.

we should be in no hurry to dump halak or huet.... we need to give this time and figure out who are goalies of the future are

Huet's gotta go later in the season, who else should they call up?

why does he have to go?

this is the right decision by Guy, no reason for carey to be here sitting on the pine

  4. Koivu is average for a 1st line center.

Smolinski is a 2nd/3rd liner but gone after the season.

Plekanec is looking like a solid second line center/awesome third line center.

Grabovski may never make it as a center but if he does, he'd probably be a boom or bust 2nd liner. So either he's an explosive offensive animal or he's a 4th line PP specialist.

Chipchura will be an awesome third line center.

Lapierre will remain an awesome fourth line center for the rest of his career.

Ryan White will be in the same boat as Plekanec - 2nd/3rd liner - he seems like the type of guy you can play anywhere.

Ben Maxwell I see as a second liner.

Olivier Fortier I think will be a more talented Maxime Lapierre - so, in other words, he can be a solid third liner or a great fourth liner.

Grabovski wont be a 4th liner man come on lol,

  5. With the new owners in Tampa, especially Doug MacLean who is gonna be more implicated in the hockey

department than the owner before, does anyone think that they will moves one of their aces.

Jay Feaster will may be forced to release Richards in order to keep the league second best player Lecavalier.

The price for Richards would be a franchise goalie and a top four defenseman i think.

Would Markov and Huet would be too much to pay for him??

    we cant part with markov

yea Eklund has updated his trade rumors with horcoff now getting an (e2) marleau still at (e3)

  6. Gainey can pull miracles out of his arse....Who would have expected theodore would have been gone? NOBODY

And for once, can people on this board be optimistic? and not so pessimistic? Sure its dreaming...but seriously...You never know what tomorrow brings

tommorow brings uselessness, mediocrity as has been the case for 14 years nows with no end in sight

  7. Meh, he's one of those players that I'm not too involved with emotionally... we have other players that would get 30 goals with a full season on Koivu's wing. Ryder is a lucky boy to have had the opportunity. Look what happened to Brian Savage once he moved to a new team and ended up on the third line...

he scored 25 in 03-04 playing with ribeiro, no doubt playing with saku the past 2 seasons helped him get 30 but he is a natural goal scorer and will score anywhere

  8. Ryder is to become UFa at the end of the season. I don't think he ever wanted a long term contract with montreal.

should montreal have a bad season, which is more likely to, a player like ryder will become a great bait for a fisrt rounder.

my guess for the $$$, he got 3.5M...I'm sure we'll know by the end of the day how much he'll make.

oh believe me ryder loves playing for the canadiens and would be dissapointed if he got traded. i live a few hours from ryders hometown and he thinks alot of playing for the habs.

  9. UFAs are useful for filling in bits that can't be filled in from within. The Habs have lots of wingers in the system. What we lack are big, skilled C; and, in the short term, D.

Selanne is a nice sentimental choice but we'd be better inking Lang to a short-term deal or just forgetting about UFAs at forward. After Lang, I think Bob should refocus on signing good second-tier defencemen like Priessing and/or Stuart and resigning Souray if this can be done within reason.

Lang over Teemu? good lord man decisions like that are why we suck

  10. Gainey can pull miracles out of his arse....Who would have expected theodore would have been gone? NOBODY

And for once, can people on this board be optimistic? and not so pessimistic? Sure its dreaming...but seriously...You never know what tomorrow brings

Fans of this franchise usually know what tommorow brings. Loosing,Frustration,Disappointment,Never getting anyone,Knowone wanting to come here............................

Ok so are we going to suck balls like the Leafs for another 40 years? Cause honestly that is the way im looking at it

Its not just you who sees it that way, there isnt any winning days ahead for us
