Dumont would be a phenomenal acquisition i wanted him or Lombardi....but apparently bob gainey isn't aware today is trade deadline day and thinks the lineup we have is going to win us a cup ....he really has not been a good GM when it comes to recognizing situations and acting on them.

I think this no talks with the UFAs until the end of the season needs to be lifted for future seasons as it could be a major determining factor for our 101st season. I think the 2 on Saku is much too low. I would put him right up there with Kovalev (5) as his ability to bring the team together when the going got tough was lackluster as well. He also went 13 games without a goal this season so he's right up there with Kovy (a trade with Minnesota could potentially happen). Higgins really should be a 7. If there is anybody who is going to be involved in a deal you have to figure that it is going to be him...and I won't miss him He could but I cant count how many times ive watched higgins not finish...he simply is not a top 2 line goal scorer as everyone had anticipated for

True Habs fans also don't just say everything is one players fault...putting the blame on one guy is downright ridiculous. The team in general is the problem right now....Kovalev is a problem; but I don't think giving him time off is going to resolve anything. So tell me, if you do in fact believe this is the right move, why doesn't Saku get sat when he is playing like utter Sh!t as well?

Don't even know what to think anymore.... He brought people to their feet and made watching the Montreal Canadiens truly enjoyable ....the team is going through a rough season and everybody points at Kovalev I hope the Canadiens do trade him...only to a team that goes on to win the stanley cup...I would never be happier for Kovy...I just wish it was with the Habs

this could be one of those phantom trades that ends up haunting the Habs...especially if they send him to Pittsburgh. Crosby-Malkin-Kovalev-Gonchar-Whitney= lethal PP which sums out to the habs having to look behind their back for another team.
