  1. You know...usually I wouldn't be this upset with todays effort (and I am sure everyone else is thinking the same)...but there is just too much on the line for this game. It seems as if every time we are within striking distance of passing Ottawa...we Blow it....And there is just too much at stake to just roll over and laugh this game off....Isn't everyone else sick of this recurring trend? We need to capitalize on this opportunity!!!! Aka: Out of town scoreboard Philly 0- Ottawa 1 Florida 1- Pittsburgh 0 Tomorrow New Jersey plays a tired San Jose Sharks team which has had a long roadtrip....Most likely a win...Now here's the standings... Sens-73 Devils-73 Hurricanes-64 Habs-73 Penguins-71 Rangers-67 Every point matters now...whether its an OT loss, or a outright win...we need these points...it could make all the difference in the world if we start the playoffs on the road.
  2. Have the Canadiens came back from a 3 goal deficit yet this season? Something tells me that we are going to need a LOT of powerplays to get back into this hockey game
  3. Theoretically, it should be 1-0 NY right now...Shanahans goal i will let go because he has one of the best releases in the league; but the Dubinski goal and the Avery goal have GOT to be stopped. If anybody whines about how Price should lead this team to the playoffs from this point on......you need your head examined. We need Huet...tonight pretty much puts an exclamation mark on that. Who cares if we lose him to free agency in the offseason....at least we know that if Price sh*ts the bed in the playoffs (if he starts...which I am high doubts still) Huet will be there with playoff hockey experience.
  4. I'm guessing this game is going to be a chess match and the team who makes the least errors will win. Lets hope even that if we do make errors, Price can bail us out with some clutch saves. LETS GO :hlogo: ...GO FLYERS GO!!!!! Sorry to hear about your grandfather cataclaw
  5. I am glad Boullion made the Flyers pay for that hit to the head...I am almost 100% sure that will be reviewed by Colin Campbell and whoever laid that hit on Kostitsyn...I think it was Upshall? will be suspended...that was a ridiculous shot and the NHL is trying to get rid of that garbage. On a side note...LOVE how begin set the tone and gave whoever that was some frequent flyer miles!!! GO :hlogo: GO
  6. Overall, VERY good game. The building was buzzing when they showed the replay on the Kostitsyn goal. I didn't realize that Big t.its did that extra little move when in mid air...overall phenomenal goal. The boys got bailed out by some very solid goaltending by Carey Price...especially in the 5 on 3 situation. Give some credit to the PKers too..they were all awesome. As for Saku missing a wide open net.... its just a little more justification why he should be stripped of that C ...he's Finnish-ed. On a side note ive never seen the Bell Centre get the wave going for a while haha but apparently its back! Anyways I hope we can bang out another win tonight, and have the same number of points as Ottawa!
  7. It depends on the type of game you plan to watch...are you going to be the fan with the Royal blue helmet and the Red Jersey on screaming his freaking lungs out with your guests...or are you going to be the type to just get up and applause when the canadiens score? If you are fan A) I highly recommend the 300's..as you feel more into the game...and you feel like one big warm family up there. I do not recommend the 200's because apparently people in Montreal have lost their morals and order enough food to feed a whole country...thus making u miss some pieces of the periods. If you can afford 100 level seats...they are great seats...theres no such thing as a bad view...but try to print off a seating map so you know what sections are where the habs attack twice! Bonne Chance!
  8. Carey Price played alright today....but it's the Florida Panthers...he still hasn't won over my full confidence. IMO, I still think Huet should remain number one. It wasn't Price who won us the games to pull us within a point of Ottawa...so why all the Carey raves? ......it's one win . And FYI the habs played like absolute siht vs Sens and Tampa Bay from what I saw...lets not goalie juggle like Ottawa...
  9. I'm pretty sure i went like 15-3 tonight in the shootout.... And went 3-1 in games...LOL could be wrong though...nonetheless I got mad dangles....Challenge me if you see me in the lobbies ever! JMMR and I have played once....with me winning 2-0 Edmonton over Minnesota
  10. Higgins+Halak+Ryder+1st Round....... I would pull the trigger Asap....The heck with Komisarek having close ties to Higgins....Sh*t happens...we're trying to win a stanley cup...not be the Brady Bunch!
  11. His best season is 38 points to date...I know he is a future prospect...but I honestly think too many people on this board overrate Higgins as a blue chip "untouchable"..... he is a 2nd liner at an absolute best.... Jokinen would be that much needed 1-2 punch that we still desperately need...he is a clutch player...he has tension between him and Martin and the Panthers GM He's in the Doghouse...he is worth the salary IMO I think Latendresse-Jokinen-Koivu would be a great 2nd line
  12. Higgins + 1st Round Pick for Jokinen...i would do it tomorrow
  13. I'm on Xbox 360 D0ODL3Gl2ETZ x be careful...i'm a dangler
  14. Don't get me wrong i'd love Jokinen...but chances of getting him are even slimmer than landing hossa
  15. I think a fatigued Kovalev line is more useful than a full strength Koivu line at this point in the game...and I actually mean that
  16. I try to cheer for Saku...but its painful knowing how stupid and irresponsible he can be at times...
  17. Awful penalty SUCKU!! GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR @$$
  18. Gerber is 7-1-0 against the Habs in his last 8 starts...that worries me somewhat.... Only reason I'm not worried is that this team can smell Senator blood in the water and I hope they attack the wounded Sens like a pack of hungry piranhas!!!! A few quick Notes: Drive for 25 (goals that is) is alive for Kovalev Plex is one point away from surpassing his career high (47) Komisarek is 1 fight away from 5 on the season Kostopoulos has 7 fights on the season...hopefully 8 tonight vs Neil Higgins is 4 points away from passing his career high (38...surprising Isn't it?) GO HABS GO :hlogo:
  19. We are one player away from being a serious cup contender...I dont think this team has what it takes to get us to the cup finals...with the addition of Hossa...anything is possible.... Higgins-Koivu-Hossa Kostitsyn-Plex-Kovy IMO that is going punch for punch with Ottawa's 2 lines...all we can do is pray I also want to mention that I called in to Hardcore Hockey talk last week and asked Steve Kouleas of the Score who would be the perfect fit in Montreal...and he kind of caught me by surprise when he said Raffi Torres...thoughts...comments?
  20. Canadiens/Thrashers talking trade...read the article http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/mtl080204.html
  21. First of all I want those 5 minutes of my life back from reading all of the junk in this thread.... Second of all...are the people who post here in kindergarten? Lets act our age and keep things civil.... What's there to b!tch about...we're in 4th place, 3 points behind Ottawa and we're playing some of the best hockey we have in years! For every negative theres always a positive counter attack...so theres no point in members going at each others throats....the end
  22. This reminds me of the game we played Vs Nashville earlier this year...you'd think they would learn?
  23. I think I remember Koivu starring in Casper..... He's been a ghost for the past 20 games or so....this is a depressing loss
