  1. Why Dackell? Hasn't he allready prove that we need him on the third or fourt line with Juneau on his side? I'd say Higgins, Begin and Hossa are the ones thats in the risk zone.
  2. Prediction: 4-2 Montreal. Hat-trick by Craig Rivet? And an empty net goal by Zednik.
  4. Look like I forgot about Ward. But having Juneau and Dackell together seems to work. They are both solid on the defence and maybe we could play someone offensive along with them. Ward? Kilger? Sundström? It looks like we have a player to much. It's great when we have someone injuried but it brings problem when everyone's healthy...
  5. Koivu is the first line center. But Perreault, Audette and Ryder is doing pretty well. Zednik is alos first line material. My guess: Bulis - Koivu - Zednik Ryder - Perreault - Audette Hosssa - Ribeiro - Sundström Kilger - Juneau - Dackell
  6. Like Audette. Like Czerkawski. Like Perreault. I don't know what's worse. Having them on our team and don't let them score against us (As soft players always does. I'm about to bet my shorts on that Czerkawski will score a hat-trick next time he enters Bell Centre...) Zubrus will have a point tonight. How come players underachieve in Montreal? Maybe we're to hard on them? Audette has skills. Just like Perreault and Czerkawski. It's the teams job to take advantage of that. Perreault and Audette is still in Montreal. And actually I'm happy about that. Perreault is one of my favourite players (but so was Benoit Brunet, so who cares what I have to say?) Audette is a pontential 25 goals scorer. Julien knows that. Savard knows that to. And if we want him out we can't put him on the bench or send him to Hamilton. So... Audette better show us some numbers or else he will face the same reality as McKay and Czerkawski. I hope Audette gives us 15+ goals this season... Oh, by the way. My crystall ball told me that Montreal will win in OT tonight. 2-1 Montreal goals by Brisebois and Bulis. Thats a good omen.
  7. Well... If Higgins shouldn't play then why should Ward? Both are on the 4th line. Capitals is an offensive team and I can't really see why we should use Begin instead of Higgins. Give the guy the experience. I also think that Sundström should be back on the line-up if he's healthy. Maybe Dackell could play on the 4th, Sundström on the 3rd and Dwyer on the bench?
  8. I'd choose Theo any given sunday. No doubt.
  9. Pens Hans Jonsson has signed with MoDo.
  10. From NHL.com Opening day rosters Montreal Canadiens DONALD AUDETTE, F; FRANCIS BOUILLON, D; PATRICE BRISEBOIS, D; JAN BULIS, F; ANDREAS DACKELL, F; GORDIE DWYER, F; RON HAINSEY, D; CHRISTOPHER HIGGINS, F; MARCEL HOSSA, F; JOSEPH JUNEAU, F; MICHAEL KOMISAREK, D; ANDREI MARKOV, D; YANIC PERREAULT, F; STEPHANE QUINTAL, D; MIKE RIBEIRO, F; CRAIG RIVET, D; MICHAEL RYDER, F; SHELDON SOURAY, D; NIKLAS SUNDSTROM, F; JASON WARD, F; RICHARD ZEDNIK, F; MATHIEU GARON, G; JOSE THEODORE, G. Injury Reserve List: STEVE BEGIN, F; CHAD KILGER, F; SAKU KOIVU, F; DARREN LANGDON, F. Langdon in Injury reserve list...
  11. Toronto has Mikael Tellqvist and he sure is a great goalie. In Sweden we rank "Tellan" higher than Johan Hedberg. But Atlanta could have some intrests in having Audette back on the team. I don't remember why he left but I think it was to free up som space for the younger players. And sadly Atlanta has lost one, maybe two young players. So they might consider Audette if he was offerd... The problem is: What does Atlanta has to offer? - A goalie. Does we need one? - No. Who does? - Dunno? - Edmonton Oilers? - Maybe... Hurme for Ethan Moreau or Steve Staios? - Hmmmmm
  12. So BEFORE the season starts. Who is you pick for the rookie of the year? (Last year I predicted that I would be Henrik Zetterberg of the Detroit Red Wings. So close... Darn.) I think is't really hard this year. I have warned for Pierre Hedin who's with the Leafs. But he will never win the Calder Cup. But he will be a solid NHL defenceman. I would like to say Michael Ryder, but I just can't believe that. So... My pick: Eric Staal
  13. I said It was my crystall ball. You would be both scared and surprised about how many times it's been right... I sure hope for Montreal to win but let's face it. We meeting one of the leauges most talanted team. On their ice. In the season opener. Whithout Saku Koivu. And many "experts" rank our team pretty low. I think that the most important thing in this game is for the vets to take their responsibillity and show our prospects the way. And that combined with some youth enthusiasm can take us to the playoffs. But we're in for a tough season.
  14. Says we're about to lose. 4-2. Montreal goals by Bulis and Markov.
  15. 1. Ottawa Senators 2. New Jersey Devils 3. Atlanta Thrashers 4. Toronto Maple Leafs 5. Philadelphia Flyers 6. Tampa Bay Lightning 7. Washington Capitals 8. Montreal Canadiens _________________ 9. New York Islanders 10. Boston Bruins 11. New York Rangers 12. Florida Panthers 13. Buffalo Sabres 14. Carolina Hurricans 15. Pittsburgh Penguins
  16. Higgins/Plekanec/Hainsey/Dwyer/Begin... I thinks so too. But it could be Boullion and not Hainsey.
  17. The worst jerseys must have been the jerseys worn by the Nucks during the early 80's.
  18. Has anybody got the stats for the Habs in pre-season? Personel stats.
  19. Kilger has to start play physical. I'm not saying that he is not, but I think he can improve that part of his play. Ribeiro, Ryder and Ward has something to prove this season. So has Hossa, Hainsey and maybe Komisarek. Im not counting on everybody to bloom out but some will. I have start to have faith in Ribs, Hossa, Komisarek and Hainsey. Ryder and Ward... Ward perhaps. But we are so thirsty for victory that we sometimes forget somethings. THE BALACE. We have a great goaltender situation. Theodore and Garon. And Michaud coming in a few years. On the blueline it's weaker. Dykhuis and Brisebois are overpaid and in my opinion second or third pairings. Quintal aint going younger. Sourray is big but not that much better than Brisebois or Dykhuis. Rivet is solid. But not firstpair caliber. Markov is my hero. Komisarek and Hainsey is some of the answers but I think we need a really good puck-carrying defenceman with some offensive skills.
  20. Sundström is one of the leauges most under-rated player. In my opinion Sundström is the most adaptable (is that a word?) players. He can play in any system. I think we need to give Sundström more time. Find his role on this team. I think this can be a real funny season. If the youngsters perform as well as they have during the pre-season we might reach the playoffs. Heres the lines, as the swede thinks they should be: Hossa-Koivu-Zednik Bulis-Ribeiro-Audette Sundström-Perreault-Ward Langdon-Juneau-Ryder So... Dackell and Kilger are the ones thats out. Hopefully we can send them to a team that realizes that they need some defensive help?
  21. Bouillion-Brisebois... Seems weak to me. Heard anyting about the lines?
  22. has a new look...
  23. Therien, Aubin, Bouchard, Bednar, Dykhuis, Traverse, Timander or Laukkanen?
  24. Joel Bouchard, Buffalo Sabres - 450,000 Serge Aubin, Colorado Avalanche - 550,000 Ivan Novosoltsev, Florida Panthers - 877,250 Jaroslav Bednar, Florida Panthers - 500,000 Brian Savage, Phoenix Coyotes - Travis Green, Toronto Maple Leafs - 1,600,000 Harold Druken, Toronto Maple Leafs -
