i am treating this like a playoff game. a loss means hit the panic button. time for the boys to step up. i an expecting a big game outta Koivu. He will prove once again why he's one of the best leaders in the game.

It should jump start San Jose. While the three players they traded are quality, they have enough depth to get buy. Thornton upgrades over Primeau (both centres). They have youngsters like Goc, Michalek, and Dimitrakos who could step up in Sturm's place. They have depth on the blueline with Hannon, McLaren, Ehrhoff, Preissing. And not to mention Nabokov and Toskala in goal. I think this turns there season around. WATCH OUT FOR THE SHARKS!

Czerkawski, Berg, and Domi would have done it.

6 less times we have to see him this year. Interesting, his first game will be against the elfs on Saturday. How very interesting. But you're right, this was shocking. When they said blockbuster I thought "Please be the Habs"... but I seriously wasn't expecting Thornton. Maybe he asked for a trade, I dunno.

Yay I like Tampa now. I don't think Boston got "robbed", but they sure have written this season of. Sturm: Top six winger. Excellent speed and puck handling skills. Smart player. 21, 28 and 21 goals over the last three seasons. He's a consistant player. Stuart: Always liked him. Nice skater. Good puck moving defender. Will help there PP. Primeau: Good depth player. Brings a solid all-around game. Thronton is a top 3 centre, and a top 5 forward in the league, however as we know he has taken a few springs off. It's a good move for both teams IMO. However, Boston has completly given up on this season. I think that's obvious.

I loved Ragu's 10 team plays of the week. Theodore's save vs Kovalchuk AND Hossa wasn't on there. Typical of the ignorant elfs. If that had been "2nd greatest goalie in history" Belfour, it woulda been voted play of the year.

Both had countless chances. This isn't hold your hand NHL till your 30 and then we decide you can't make it, they should shlt when they had the chance. They didn't, so they got off the pot.

He had five seasons to make and stick with the team and he never did. Souray is a one-year wonder. Sorry fellas. He is a decent defender, but expectations for him are far too high. He is a top four Dman, but not a #1. Ozolinsh CAN BE a #1 IMO.

I'd like to know how Ozolinsh is NOT an upgrade over Souray? Ozolinsh has been an all-star and top offensive defenseman his whole career. Souray had ONE good year, and even then he was injuried for 1/4 of it.
