  1. Bob and Trevor Timmons are the reason for this ineptitude, their infatuation with the USHL has set this franchise back several years, started with Komisarek then Higgins, then Fisher, then McDonough, then Kristo and it basically hasn't stopped, none, if any of their moronic American Highschool picks have gone on to be above average to very good, god forbid you expect one of your picks to be very good to great. There you go 5 1st round draft picks that are complete garbage, hit on 2 or 3 of those and you are not one of the worst teams in the NHL right now. http://www.hockeydb....dr00006929.html Gauthier sucks but this is the man we should demand be fired immediately, he flat out sucks at his job, what a pathetic resume he has, Ottawa is where he developed his hockey IQ, that says it all. http://canadiens.nhl...ge.htm?id=52840
  2. What is his status, when did he injure his shoulder, camp? where will he fit in when he returns, does he bump Blunden up to the press box or do you play them both and sit Darche.
  3. It would be nice to add a legit physical presence who can play 3rd line minutes, does not have be a complete goon 30 seconds of ice guy, so one who won't let clowns like Thornton take runs at the likes of cammy and plecs. Next year they will be far tougher as a team, I expect PK to only add muscle and strength, give him two more years to fill out and he neutralizes lucic in the physical department, a scott stevens type, doesn't have to fight very often simply because no one wants to tangle with him, the few times he does will just reconfirm the reason not to play like a clown when he's in the line-up. IMHO, he a future Norris trophy winner, baffles me how he did not at least get nominated for ROY, his minutes alone warrant a nomination. I commented on Saturday night to two lifetime Habs fans Ryan White is a poor mans Mike Keane, for those that remember, Keane was as tough pound for pound as there was that played the game, give White two more seasons and you have your shutdown, grinder, hate to play against (yet 100% clean) 3rd liner who can play the pk, last 60 seconds of game, big game contributor, the type of guy who plays better when the game get more intense. disagree if you want, but this series proves you have to have some size to win in the playoffs, the Bruins D have to be the healthiest of any team in the playoffs, never before have I seen so many glide by's Boston was well aware of who would hit, attempt to hit and how was just going for a skate, made it far to easy for them to carry/move the puck, any type of physical pressure or at minimum the illusion there would be a hit coming if they held the puck or tried to make a play would have be the difference between winning and losing. The Boston D is awful with the puck on their sticks with pressure, but there was just not enough size or willingness to do anything. They will be better next season, keep an eye on the Bulldogs playoff run, should be a few down there that push for a roster spot.
  4. dodge a bullet with Penner, would have been lucic's personal punching bag, the forward version of hal gill, big and soft!
  5. what would you give up (if anything) to get richards + only with a new contract? Gomez, Koysitsen, Weber, Kristo, Yemelin. Richards +
  6. Not sure what the substance problem is with Jordan Tootoo but if he can work through his problems (brothers suicide might be tough to get over) he is what I would want coming back in any trade with Nashville, not the top guy coming but find a way to get him as part of the deal, with him and Moen, there's no need for a heavyweight goon, he can play quality 3rd line minutes, chip in offensively and provide enough physical presence that players like PK can pick his spots when to fight or just not fight at all, let Tootoo clean up the mess.
  7. Big props to PK, the Lupols of the nhl are the ones that PK should terrorize, just needs to shut a few of them up and the rest will fall in line.
  8. Nice excuse, sometimes you have to fight, ask Benoit Pouliot. Funny you mention Jerome Iginla, if Precious had half the courage Iggy has, I be pretty damm impressed, Jerome fights to protect himself and most importantly to protect his teammates, Jerome does not yap, does not scrum and run, does not hit and hide, Precious should flip some tape on of Jerome and learn how to play the game properly. Anyone who mentions the meager 5 mins in the box or the risk of injury is do nothing more than making excuses for PK. I love PK, I just don't care for him yapping off then backing down and I doubt Hamrlik and Spacek appreciated the absolute beating they took for PK. If he played hard, hit hard, cleared the front of the crease and never yapped then no need to every fight or rarely fight but that's not the game he seems to want to play. When a puke like Marchand flagrantly cross checks you from behind, 5 feet from the borads, to me, no one has respect for they way he is carrying himself right now. One of his teammates needs to drop their gloves with him in practice and let him know he needs to put up or shut up. I promise you, PK would not be pulling this crap if he were in Calgary, or in MTL if Shayne Corson was in uniform.
  9. They do not need someone to destroy anyone who get's within 5 feet of Precious Karnell, they need Precious Karnell to destroy the Mcquaid's, Boychuck's, Ferance's, Horton's, Campbells' of the NHL. Take the diaper of little Precious Karnell, the guy is 6+ 210 lbs, he is NOT Petr Fookig Svoboda. Time to take the bubble wrap off Precious.
  10. that's BS, thronton should get at least a game for the physical abuse of the official, you cannot beat up the ref on your way to beating up a player.
  11. there has to be at least a game for thornton, he rag dolled the ref just to get shots in on hammer who clearly did not want to fight, same goes for spacek, that was bush league by boychuk but if you can do it why not, boston got the two points and beat the crap out of the Habs, next game will be interesting, like most rematches, expect little retribution but it will be interesting to see if the bruins will get themselves a little extra space, a few liberties after the whistle, quicker passes and turnovers from mtl and a few extra runs at the smaller skilled players???
  12. and through it all paper tiger ended up in front of the net with that clown mcquaid who was begging him to go and just the head ref who was not going to intervene, typical pkoward, he declined. i do not advocate him taking on the heavies but he has got to lay waste to everyone else and earn himself and teammates some space and respect when he's on the ice and right now he has 0, his opponents know it, they run him, they run his teammates and it was never more evident than when he was hit from behind by the pos marchand earlier in the game, had he or anyone other than Ryder been afraid of the repercussions for such a coward, cheap hit, it would never have happened.
  13. other than lucic, thornton and chara, there isn't anyone on boston who 6' 210 PK should not own physically, his biggest weakness right now is he is not physically strong enough yet, he needs to hit it hard this summer if he want's to dominate like he should be able to. that was just embarrassing seeing poor spacek and hammer have to take beatings. where is ryan white, pyatt sucks.
  14. they won convincingly, treated the habs like bitch's, that what happens to finesse teams with a mouthpiece who can't back up his yap, you want the refs to fight is battles for him, what a joke.
  15. PoosyKarnel, what a joke this coward is. He's getting his teamates beaten like a drum. Job well down PoosyKarnel
  16. Dead on with the Komi assessment, he made a living feasting on the smaller, softer players, once Lucic got a hold of him it was all over. Thankfully he was not resigned. He was a terrible 1st rd pick, he and Hansey cost the Habs valuable picks. USHL is grossly overrated.
  17. didn't look to good for PK, he may have been at the end of the shift but he looked scared to fight, while bogisan was basically begging him to go, bogisan yanked his helmet off and gave him no option but to fight, wasn't much of a bout, PK partially landed a haymaker, was a bit of a wrestling match, PK must have given up 20-25lbs to bogisan. i was disappointed in PK (unless it was the end of his shift) but he should not have hesitated 1 second, Kane was abusing Pleks, bogisan was yanking on pleks jersey then begged PK to go, bogisan was ready to fight, can't say the same about PK, he best stfu or ko someone asap otherwise he will be Laps II (early career) Laps now drops the gloves in his spots.
  18. Ovechkin fights Richards Ovechkin manned up. The hit on booth was pretty cheap, i hadn't seen it for some time, i thought it was a fully body hit and the shoulder caught his chin not a straight shoulder to the chin hit. PK is more than capable of handling himself, he does not play the game like a finesse player and i would take great pleasure in him punching the crap out of richards monday night or at any point in time this season. Don't be shocked if Totoo and Subban go tonight, their two styles will clash they both play a physical game and is in the other teams face, (PK will need to be weary of the sucker punch). Here is a quick list of guys PK will be scrapping in an arena near you in the future. Feel free to predict his W/L Nathan Horton Colby Armstrong Brandon Dubinski Ruttu/Ottawa Foligno/Pay back Kaleta Gregory Campbell Mark Stuart Ference Hartnell Richards Carcillo/most likely jump PK.
  19. I don't see enough of doughty to know if he's a talker (nothing wrong with that as long as you back it up) in the games i have seen green play he doesn't yap, nor does he play nearly as physical game as PK does. As for Crosby, his yapping is well documented and he actually has 2 scraps. MR if on the Habs would be head and shoulder the best player on the team, Steve Yzerman said as much when he was selected to Team Canada and was the teams best player the last two games of the tournament. I don't see anything wrong with PK's game, I would just like to see him pop MR in the mouth and shut him the ###### up. You have to believe Philly and Boston are going to be there in the end, PK can play a big part in neutralizing the physicality of both those teams, the league has not gone to non contact yet, it's close, but until that time, you still need a physical presence, preferably from someone who can play 20-25 minutes. PS. David Booth should keep his head up and not stare down his passes, it was a very quesitonable hit in today's game, 10 yrs ago it was a highlight reel hit, 30 yrs ago it resulted in a bench clearing brawl, but Booth needs to be held partially responsible, it ain't your sunday night pick up league the guy is in.
  20. White would be an upgrade over Laps and would easily handle a situation like Powe. Everyone needs to take their kid gloves off PK, he can more than handle himself, Mike Richards is dead on correct, someone will take a run a PK, why not, see if the kid can back himself up, Richards fought everyone and anyone who as much as cut in front of him after the whistle when he came into the league, not because he is a tough guy goon but he had to send a clear message to the league, he's wasn't going to take crap from anyone just because he is a rookie, did nothing but buy him lot's of space on the ice, and now he's one of the best players in the league. A guy like mike richards or jerome iginla is the model PK should follow, not Lapierre, or better yet, pop in some old film of shayne corson, that's how it's done,
  21. I am pretty sure Jody Shelly would be over the boards and all over Moen the second he messed with Richards. Subban will need to answer the call at some point in time, don't make him out to be some chicken shite pansy, he needs to flip on some tape of shane corson habs highlights to see how it's done.
  22. it's either take the risk of a freak injury like souray (jerome iginla seems ok) or turtle. he's going to have to fight at some point in time, mike richards seems like a good place to start monday night, otherwise expect him, his goalie and his linemates to be run every time he's on the ice, not saying that's the right way to play hockey, that's just the reality of the nhl, if no one fears you or respects you they will take liberties until you do something about it. Laps should not have been the one to fight Powe, Subban should be the one policing the ice with guys like that, don't use moen to refute that point, i'd be embarrassed if moen was the one that had to beat him down.
  23. why hit him with his stick when he could simply drop the gloves and earn some respect, pk is over due for a fight, he's a big boy and should be able to handle himself with pretty much anyone.
