  1. Does anyone think the whole UFA tides/troubles are turning? The way I see it this is their last chance to prove they're worth before summer, regardless of whether they want to stay or leave. I'm expecting big things from Dandy. He's back on D and wants a contract. The guy has cup rings galore and was Gainey's first signing.
  2. Ya? That's what started this whole thing and you told him to SHUT UP. We are saying it's a start by him calling out Thorton in the interview. Thorton now must answer the bell. I'd say that is starting a fire. Tomorrow is Thursday!!!!!!!!
  3. So is he good, or is he a product of this Reindeau guy being good. Who was the best player to be had?
  4. What? This is good. He's getting himself in game mode. This is the stuff we need from him. Trash talk.....YES! Better then what I've been hearing all week. " Just happy we made the play-offs hahahahahaha Just happy we made the play-offs hahahahahahaha just happy we made the play-offs hahahahaha" Come on Marky, support the guy even if he can't grow a beard. No mohawk's this year huh? The boys are growing up.
  5. Say hello to your other buddy for us will you? Send our love.
  6. There is a cinderella story almost every other season, no doubt. Ever since I was 5 years old the Cup was going to be won by Montreal no matter what. I still feel that way at 38, including this season. With that said I have to admit though, that I have never seen a Montreal team like this one. Where at times were just going through the motions and looked like they weren't even trying. I'm hoping that is only because I am now able to watch all 82 games on centre Ice as opposed to only Saturday nights growing up. I see more of the lows and highs you could say. If we were ever in need of a Cinderella story it's now, our Centennial season! It would be nice........but AK47, Plex, Price, Komi, Markov, and Gui are going to have to step up to the plate and help out. Not just a little, ALOT!
  7. Ya, I'm no motivational speaker that's for sure. But geez, BGL just seems so dry and done. Even in the media he acts like it's all a joke. I don't blame him, the media has done their fair share of burning him this year , why give them anymore fuel. He's tough, he knows it. Fighting is so easy for him. Even though he's lost his passion for fighting he still kills people, that just goes to show how tough he is. I don't want him in the penalty box yelling stuff like "I'll kill you!, I'll choke you!" with the gesture of hands around his neck like that nut bag Thorton with OB, but man, just a little bit of passion that this means something to you would be nice. The way I've seen it lately, He'll watch Komi get worked by Chara, Thorton and Lucic while BGL holds Savard back in the corner with a smile on his face, or even worse watch Lucic finally fight him and win because Lucic has the passion and anger. Oh boy, this series would be done right there. See, this thread is already making me negative.
  8. Thanks for merging but it's kind of anti my point. The thread was to encourage not bash and call him an embarrassment. The first 3 pages of this thread make one want to puke, not show up and excel which is where I was going with this.
  9. I have had a problem with BGL'S play all season. O.K .......so he is healthy. Right? Atleast we hope. Boston is not going to fight with him. In fact they will be told to walk away at every opportunity. Will this lead to Laraque becoming a liability? We all know Big George reads these forums so let's help him out. There are plenty of great hockey minds here at HW, I'm sure he can take something good away from it and take it to the ice. Yes armchair GM's and armchair coach's, I know but something has to give with this guy? Does he just grab and pound? Does he get in front of the net and look for his first goal? He needs to skate like the wind, I've seen it for about 1 minute. He can skate, but nothing bothers me more then how lazy he gets after one hard shift. Skating back he takes slow strides, almost like he's saving his breath in case he'll have to fight when the whistle blows in our corner.. I don't want to bash. What can BGL do to be effective in this series because no Bruin is going to dance with him.
  10. I think he may be headed in the right direction. A few key saves that make announcers go "WOW!" A couple of solid outings in Boston and to be named one of the three stars in both games. A big Kick Ass shut-out to bring back to Montreal followed by yet another stellar performance in overtime at the Bell should do it. A string of events like this will put him on a high horse again. The only thing I fear is "The Theo Disease" Capable of brilliant flashes but far and few between. I love Price but I keep reading "regain his form" threads everywhere just like the Theo days and it's starting to make me feel "Is there a form to regain?" Maybe this is it. I hope I'm completely friggin wrong......... GO PRICE GO!!!!!!!!!! KOIVU FOR PLAY-OFF MVP!!!!!!!
  11. Anyone in Montreal hearing about the Lemaire wants to coach the Habs next year. Rumor is he wants to but can't say anything because he is still under contract with the Wild. Somewhere on TSN it was said. The other thing is. Al Strachen (sp?) said on the hotstove last Saturday's game with the Pens that Patrick Roy will be coaching Colorado next year. Thoughts? nobody here posted anything so just wondering if there is anything going on in the Montreal media.
  12. go habs go I feel a little burnt out from this years collapse and like Walmsley always hold an optimistic flame because you just never know. BUT My best friend is a Bruins fan and I beat on him bad. This year I don't have the confidence to beat on him like I usually do. Every once in a while they have to have a turn. You know we've won 24 and they have won 7. It feels like that stupid pocket where they just might grab number 8. So I'm a 7 desperately trying to reach 8 before Thursday. If Carey finally plays to the level we all think he can play and we get some hard nose puck control, I'll step it up a notch, but until then I'll feel flat like I have since the all-star break. We need to score first in every game. We need to lead the series at all times. If we fall behind for even a second they'll give up. I will be watching but it may be painful.
