  1. As was noted the other day by an astute observer of the hockey scene... Price has yet to score.
  2. I'm going to sing the happy l'il habby song...
  3. I'm usch a slut. Give me two points and I'm almost always HAPPY! Talk about distant memories.... I hope this kid can catch fire the way we were hoping a coupe of years ago. I thought Uncle Bob was a ...wait for it... GENIUS for getting the kid brother... What a treat they could be if they pull a Plecs.
  4. Just like I called it!!! Oh....that was eight years ago.... Let's hear it for Martin!
  5. I'm not bugged with Moen for losing it a little after almost having his face rearranged. That's what happens when the refs arent on the call. It would take more restraint than I have to take that plus the non-call. And I'm not even human.
  6. 3-- 2 CBJ Huge stop by Price on Nash Price has been very good tonight
  7. It looks like tonight we will have to play as a luck posession team. 2-2
  8. >>Do you realize how few 18 year olds are 6'4, 225 pounds? Maybe one per draft?<< There's always my sister.
  9. So what's with the seemingly improved play of OBie. Is this here to stay? That would be a lovely thing.
  10. It wouldn't surprise me if M. Gomez didn't have at least a gentleman's agreement that he would only play on the first line or perhaps with certain levels of players as part of his coming to Montreal. This may not be the case, but if I were a player agent, I would be inclined to seek assurances to cover my asset, so to speak. I don't think game 23 o4 19 matters very much to a lot of players, which is perhaps part of why we took 3 points from top teams. Our guys know we are in a footrace, and we have to reach a certain level of performance to make it to the dance floor later in the year. I personally think an 82 game hockey season is utterly insane and can't imagine a player so commited or commitable that he can keep intensity up for relatively nothing games. I suspect a lot of players know just how deeply we care about them personally too while expecting full devotion in return and money is known not to be much of a motivator in itself. That said, what a thrill to see Pluck playing at his wonderful best. And of course, Uncle Bob is a genius.
  11. Well, I wasn't expecting too many points over the last couple of games and got a present of 3 Kudos to the guys who called it!
  12. Nice stop on Cam Datz what a move Plecs hits post Zetterberg 5 hole 2-- 0
  13. I'm a pretty happy boy with one minute left in OT after tying it up !
  14. You noticed that too, eh? I was wondering why nobody was criticizing his output. And talk about cautious! He can go a whole period without leaving our end of the rink! Honest! I've seen it with my own eyes. I think its confidence, but hey, what do I know? Good call
  15. We do tend to chase after the 'highs' and want them year in an year out, night after night. We gambled at the right time to go for it, and injuries caused an overload on a young goalie who couldn't carry the team alone. When a team knows they don't have a reaslistic shot, it affects their efforts. Our redirecting was necessary and the consequences of decisions made while going for it, are just that, unavoidable consequences. This year, the people who were available for Bob were what they were. He can make all the right moves from his end, for Lecavelier or whoever, but that's just his end. The other end is not in his control. Uncle Bob is aboiut the most respected man in hockey, and my guess is that this includes his professional standing as well as his personal integrity and character. I am not "happy" with how things are on the ice right now, but I am satisfied that it would be pretty difficult to have them much different. And it's good for us to remember that we are a team that must at least compete every single year, and compete well with the late draft picks that this entails. I have been very, very impressed with the job uncle Bob has been doing for us and am confident he will continue to do a great job. It's a matter of context.
  16. How things can change. A couple of years ago we were considered a team that had among the best group of prospects in development.
  17. Boy that post postgame gang is a lot livelier tonight!
  18. Hahaha What a wonderful thing if this ship comes in. I would so love to see Bob's move pay off in a decade of killer goaltending. Franchise stuff.
  19. True, but it staves off the suicidal impulses for a day or two!!
