  1. Montreal will never let Markov go regardless of his injury. A proffessional always adapts under any given situation. Markov has got the rare hockey talent which makes everybody around him better. Montreal will sign him for 5 to 6 million dollars hopefully to a 5 year contract and retire here in montreal and that is my conviction.
  2. Gomez is not a goal scorer he is a passer. You will hardley find Gomez in the middle or in front of the goalie rather he always plays on the sides and digs for the puck and makes great passes. If no one is available to recieve his passes then we really shouldt blame him for that. In fact we are very lucky to have Gomez even with his overpaid contract because which other center who might be available would want to play here in montreal ? Very few I think ! As for Markov I couldnt agree with you more he really leaves a huge gap to be filled.
  3. P K Subban should has created a reputation in the league as a blabber mouth and in my opinion as well as others he should chill out. With all the talent that this kid has we need him in the line up rather than the infirmary nursing a broken jaw or a broken wrist. Yesterday's game against Philly he checked a flyer's player directly behind Carey's net causing Carey to fall flat on the ice. That was stupid! So chill out P K cause we need you playing rather than seeing you in a neck brace.
  4. The curse over Carey Price has been lifted. Nothing is going to stop him from dominating the NHL for at least the next decade. Good decision by Pierre Gautier and staff.
  5. I don't think that the habs are looking to trade or to acquire a defenceman. Markov will return in Febuary if what I'm hearing is correct and in the meantime we have a number of defenceman that we can call up. As for getting a top six forward I think it would be wise to wait until the trading deadline when we will have a wider scope of choices. We are very fortunate to be where we are in the standings which releases all of us from panic and depeartion. Imagine being the toronto maple laughs where they have to call up Naseem Kadri searching desperately for help. Go Burky Go! As for our Montreal Canadiens we can all rise up and give our team a standing ovation for giving back our pride. Go BLEU-BLANC-ROUGE
  6. Regarding Carolina's last match against Philadelphia they were whipped 8 to 1. Philadelphia scoring 4 goals in the 3rd period. Looks like the teams moral is very low and we can take advantage of that tonight by scoring a pair of goals as quickly as possible and hence forcing them into playing our game. Another win tonight will compensate for that inevitable slump we will go through probably in January of 2011. GO BLEU - BLANC - ROUGE
  7. It's without question that OB became expendable but is that the way to treat your prospect? For a big frame his skating is exceptional and he has shown that he can throw his body around rather well. This is a player that they should have kept in the minors for at least 3 years for his developement rather than bringing him up so quickly and expecting a whole lot more from him. The canadiens brought up other players prematurely such as Pacioretty and look what he had to say about it. If any of you out there want to poke at OB why don't you try poking at Spacek who makes $ 3,383,645 ?
  8. Speaking of O'Byrne. The canadiens should have kept him playing in the minors for a reasonable 3 years before calling him up prematurely in fact the canadiens called up too may players prematurely and ended up having to trade them or send them back down the yo-yo syndrome if you know what I mean. Watch him perform well with colorado because they know exactly what this giant is missing it's call confidence. Who's to blame him? :hlogo:
  9. That's exactly what I've been saying as of late. I think that our players are just not having fun playing for Jacque Martin. Time to hire Kirk Muller and let JM join the rest of the gang upstairs. I'm also pissed with the handling of Dustin Boyd and should I also mention other players. As for a french coach it's too late Boucher went to tampa where all the other francaphone players are. What a joke!
  10. I couldn't agree more with Max's remark. It's so stupid that when player's make mistakes and are demoted to the 3rd or 4th line. Remember what Wayne Gretzky always said about the game of hockey that it must be fun and played naturaly. I'm beginning to think that Jacque Martin is starting to loose his team. My choice would be to make Kirk Muller our next coach because he knows what fun is all about. Hang in there Max there will changes soon.
  11. Habs bashing night in canada and tommorrow it will be habs chainsaw massacre. We are in trouble boys !
  12. The reason that I would like to see Eller playing with the Gionta-Gomez is that they succeeded during the exhibition games and also showed some chemistry. The Gionta-Gomez line is currently in joepardy although they've tried filling that gap with Pouliot,Pyatt or Moen and just never panned out. So that leaves us no time or many other choices but to reunite Eller with Gomez-Gionta. Just my thought!
  13. Eller to Hamilton? No Freaken way! This kid should be playing on the same line with Gionta and Gomez. I understand Jacque Martin's motives for placing Eller on the 3rd or 4th line however bluntly speaking that's just a waste of good talent. If management didn't believe that Eller can play with the top 6 they simply would not have traded for him. So enough with the bullshit this kid has the talent with great ice vision and must be playing on the top 6 otherwise theres a risk that we might in fact be destroying him and most of us can agree that montreal has a reputation for doing just that with young talented players that want to play here. :hlogo:
  14. Your right it is still early to worry and that Gionta is a leader and goal scorer who will eventually find his scoring pace. I'm concerned that giving Gionta the captaincy may be distracting his focus. I also believe that Gionta and Gomez need to play with other players to renew their spunk. I would strongly consider calling up Pulashaj from hamilton and try him with Gomez.
  15. Regarding the G & G line I believe that they must be split up. They worked well playing together for the Devils but thats many years ago now. Gionta and Gomez need to rediscover themselves again shed old skin if you know what I mean. Kostitsyn-Gomez-Cammelleri Eller/Pouliot-plekanec-Gionta
  16. Cayotes should be shipped to Winnepeg rather than playing in the desert to an arid economy.
  17. Although I'm not a fan of TSN I would still consider it an upgrade from CBC maple laughs. Beats me why they think that the maple laughs are Canada's team. If my memory serves me right it was the habs that the national soviet team played against in that historic game not the maple laughs. It makes me wonder who gave these morons the right to place the hockey hall of fame museum in toronto. I only can hope that Nassim Kadri will one day play for the real men (Habs) rather than play with women in toronto.
  18. How can anyone bash Carey Price. This is a man who went against all odds and chose to stay here regardless of the pressure with the fans and the french media. In my book that is called courage unlike other players who cowardly refused to come to montreal. This week I will purchase his jersey with his #31 and wear it proudly.
  19. Hey Bar if your blind then that makes two of us. I always liked Jacque Martin but now I'm staring to question that.
  20. My brave prediction for tonights game: montreal 6 New Jersey 4. Any other predictions out there?
  21. I always had false hopes of having Brodeur joining the habs but aside from that I hope that we storm his net and pocket at least 6 goals against. Wishful thinking I know but I hate playing against Brodeur because he always robs us of wins and points. GO HABS GO.
  22. Wether Andrei Kostitsyn's great play of late is a result of his lil brother being in Nashville or a new contract time will only tell. In the words of Guy Carbonneau " In time the true story will come out.' I think that we can all agree with that! :hlogo:
  23. I was refering to your statement about a reporter asking AK of being voted depsite not being french. I did not personaly hear it but neither was it suprising coming out of totonto. As for Harry Neal and Bob Cole it was a game against toronto in toronto and as the refs were calling penalties against toronto causing montreal to take the lead in the game and that's when they both made a statment "They (refs) are doing it to us again." It's not right for any commentator to cheer for their team or make statements that demine other teams. It's so sick and ludicrous that they always get away with bullshit like that. As for Don Cherry well we already know all about him.
  24. Isn't it obvious that all racial statements always comes from ontario. The NHL's discplinary commissiion musn't let this one slide by but unfortunately they will becase they are of the same fold. It just gives credence to what I've always said about Ben Cole, Harry Neal,Don Cherry and the other cowards which hide behind their skirts. It's no wonder that Toronto and Ottawa has our number, can you imagine the critisism the player's must recieve when they lose against us from quebec. Now I understand why the francaphone public feels the way they do and I stand tall and proud by their side.
  25. Th credit should go to Elliot for keeping the game close. The credit should also go to our defence for keeping the shots against very low. Make no mistake about it the Senators are a hell of a team with lot's of weapons. I like Jacque Martins system and the players are buying into it which is the biggest reason for our victory tonight. Who's next......
