  1. Hello forum members! I have just moved to Ottawa for work and, of course, one of my more pressing concerns is finding some good spots to watch the Habs games. In spite of my new geographic location, I have no plans on rooting for the Sens. So, what are some good bars, pubs or other spots for Habs games in Ottawa? Thanks!
  2. I'm not sure why some teams would not claim a player like Carle, or Laasko or Mihalik for that matter. Organizations like the Islanders or Oilers, who have hodge-podge bluelines at best, could certainly afford to a chance on a such prospects. After all, they are available for free, aren't they? As for Carle being in his fourth pro camp, that is true, but injuries certainly have not been kind to him.
  3. Yeah, i'm curious to see how Kulbertanz does as well. Brain, I know you feel he could be a dark horse for the Habs blueline and I would tend to agree. Personally, I'm also interested in seeing how Leblanc and Tinordi do their second game out and if Palushaj can keep making a name for himself.
  4. A bit early to be posting this, but I thought I would give everyone a little heads up. For those interested, the game will be aired on RIS tonight. Otherwise, you'll have to make like the 1950's and curl up with your radio. Ottawa Lineup: G: Pascal Leclaire (will play full 60), Mike Brodeur. D: Eric Gryba, Erik Karlsson, Geoff Kinrade, Chris Phillips, Craig Schira, Patrick Wiercioch. F: Cody Bass, Eric Condra, Kaspars Daugavins, Mike Fisher, Colin Greening, Ryan Keller, Chris Kelly, Alex Kovalev, Francis Lessard, Corey Locke, Peter Regin, Jarkko Ruutu. Top line will be Regin-Fisher-Kovalev Potential Habs Lineup: Eller - Gomez - Gionta Kostitsyn - Boyd - Darche White - Desharnais - Pacioretty Schultz - Engqvist -Wyman Picard - Subban Henry - O'Byrne Nash - Carle Auld Mayer
  5. Well, I should answer my own question I suppose. As far as current players are concerned, I'd go with Cammy. Save for his atrocious 12 game scoring drought, he was on a 40 goal pace last year and could conceivably reach that plateay this year. Markov worries me too much given his injury woes. Streit makes the most sense as far as former Habs are concerned, especially given his importance to the Islanders. It's not exactly like they are filled with offensive weapons or defensive depth. Hmmm... so nobody is picking Chris Higgins, haha, I wonder why?
  6. Well, first of all, I should introduce myself. My name is Louis Moustakas, I have been writing for HabsWorld for one year now and have been made an editor for the 2010 season. I was reading Mark Della Posta's piece ( http://www.habsworld.net/article.php?id=2201 ) about Habs fantasy prospects. While reading, two questions came to mind: 1. If you had to choose one current habs player for your fantasy team, who would it be? 2. If you had to choose one former habs player for your team, who would it be? Cheers,
