I agree. Chow did even get benched last year in swedish team Djurgården... and we play on BIG rink and with the same rules as the NHL will use now. Good luck getting even 15 goals out of chow. Same with McCabe... he got sent home after 10 games with swedish HV71... he had like 1 assist and -12 rating ( I think it was something like this).. yeah.. the leafs look like a top4 team... in Australia... Hey LINDROS... Watch out for Steve McKenna... he is BIG!!!

I think Weekes will become the backup after a few weeks as well... Henrik Lundqvist is an AWESOME goaltender. Swedens best goalie since Pelle Lindberg. Watch him win some BIG games for NYR this year.

He almost ended Lindros career on his first trainingcamp day. Read in swedish newspapers (Expressen and Aftonbladet) that he got a clean hit on Lindros when he was skating like he did when he got hit by Stevens. Lindros looked newly awaked after the check and after that Lindros and Domi were chasing Kronwall the rest of the day Marchment had to stop Lindros from jumping on Kronwall a few minutes after. TRADE FOR KRONWALL... He deserves to be a habs after this

GREAT PICKUP if he is supposed to replace Kapanen for 2 months. He will be their best player during those 2 months with all those 10-25 goals. After that... nothing........

Im a little interested in Bouillon... I LOVED the way he played when he and Ryder helped my swedish team Leksand back up into the top league.

I think a succesfull player in both the Russian national team and the club team is MORE than 10 times better than a player that is benched wherever he playes. Czerkawski was benched in Montreal, I even think he was benched in NY Islanders after they got him back. This season he was benched in Djurgården in the swedish elite league. Damn I'll even bet he has a hockeybench to sleep on at home. btw. I think beckham has to be LINDEN_FAN from the espn montreal board. They act exactly the same. They read what all others on the board/forum thinks and then write the total oposite in a VERY agressive way like they want other to start bashing them. But its so lovely when they make a statement that makes no sense at all like saying that Houle was a good GM and that all our players suck and stuff like that. The team doesnt need these kind of fans!

A correction... Mark Streit did NOT play in the swedish elite league... he played in the swiss league. Dont know whats the matter with u North americans and mixing up Sweden and switserland.

He was even benched in the swedish elite league last year... but off course.. so were Bryan McCabe so I guess the leafs collects concussions and players who cant make it into the swedish elite league... great.. for us Chow = Mariusz Czerkawski (might misspell but hes no longer a habs so...) Too bad that they are wrong on Cristopher Heino Lindberg.. He didnt play in the swedish elite league... he played div. 1 hockey. This year he will play elite league hockey in Färjestad and it will be REALLY interesting to see if he can take the no1 goalie spot there

I dont think hossa will make it into the NHL. He did only get 24 pts in 48 games in sweden last year although 18 of them was goals I cant see how he will make it. I think Perezhogin is VERY interesting. Biggest suprise? Im so hyped about this team before every season and mostly they have failed to meet my expectations so I hope the suprise is that we become a top3 team in the league. Player suprises 1. Francis Bouillon I think this guy will get 30+ points this season and be one of our new PP-quarterbacks. His play in Sweden has made me love this guy. He almost scored a sologoal from his own end of the rink except that the goalie made a great save on his shot. Watch out with the new rules Bouillon haters. 2. Perezhogin As someone said he has played as good as Ovechkin last season. 3 Yan Danis This guy may make us hate the draftpick Carey Price even more. finally a longshot Christoffer Heino-Lindberg who will play in the topleague and in one of the topteams of the swedish elite league this year (Färjestad). Could he be the future of swedish goaltending?

How about Jimmy Carson? He at least has really good stats and allways was compared to Gretzky because of that trade to Edmonton for "99"

Well... Sending Leclair didnt mean much.. as I heard he didnt play THAT well for us. So that means Recchi, Leclair and Desjardins for Zednik. ATM. I like that trade but when it happened those guys had like 5-10 years left. Id stick with Zednik over those guys today.

No... he wasnt a part of the Leclair - Recchi deal. We got Zubrus FOR sending Recchi to Flyers in 98 (I think)
